Consider NOT connecting the camera to the computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Hi debbie_ma203,

What you need to do now is to switch off your camera , and then unplug it from your PC.

After you do this , you need to start your computer and then , plug the USB cord in the USB slot , after you do this you need to press the power on button.

When you switch on your camera you will get an option on your screen to choose mass storage mode, you need to select this mode, after you do this , and select ok , you will have a removable drive in your my computer , which would show all your images and videos.

Hope this helps ...:)

How do I transfer my pictures from the internal camera memory onto the computer?

One of two ways.

1) Remove the memory card if one is installed. Connect the camera to the computer using the USB cable. Transfer pictures normally.

2) Copy the pictures from the internal memory to the card, then take the card out of the camera and plug it into a card reader. Transfer pictures normally.
To copy pictures from the internal memory to a card, press the playback button (right-pointing triangle) to enter playback mode, press MENU, then select "Copy".

You can use the USB connection or the card reader, whichever you're more comfortable with, whichever you normally use.

Camera will not read on the computer.

You shouldn't need the driver - Turn the camera on, Push the menu button - click right for "setup"
you will see animation, beep, frequency, format, default , etc.... scroll down to USBMODE and click ok. Then plug it into your usb that should already be plugged into your computer. A screen will pop up asking what you want to do open folder with pictures in it, etc.... if this doesn't work E-mail me and I'll send you Coach Drivers that will work. Put the camera in usb mode though and it will work. I had the same problem.

Can't get out of USB mode

You most likely need to change a setting called USB Connect under main settings 1.

Default is auto
I suspect it is set to mass storage and is causing your hassle

Says camera is not connected to computer

I found this on another site. You have to set the camera itself to Mass Storage mode in order to work with Windows 2000. The steps are below. As soon as I did and plugged the camera back into the USB cable, Picture Project recognized the camera as connected, installed the mass storage driver for it and requested a restart of the PC. Able to access the memory card and download pictures.

On the camera itself, unplug the USB, turn it on and...

Press MENU....
Press ▲▼to choose SETUP...press OK...
Press ▲▼to choose INTERFACE...press OK...
Press ▲▼ to choose USB...press OK...
Press ▲▼to choose MASS STORAGE...press Ok..
Press MENU to exit...
Then plug it back into the USB cable.

Good Luck
