I have a cosco juvenile playpen and I can't even collapse it. I have pushed in on the buttons; I have folded the bottom and then also tried. Nothing I do will allow me to collapse this playpen. I have tried to push down on the side and even pull up. I need instructions please. I am not sure if the model number will help or not 05010c7ct

My wife and I have the same model for visits by our granddaughter. She was having the same trouble as were you and, like you, we did not have instructions.

I'm happy to share with you what I found to close the model up for storage. It may not be the same as what the manufacturer envisioned but it worked for us.

-- With the pad removed from the inside of the Pack n Play, pull up on the red handle so as to loosen the legs;

-- Next, you will find there is a big button in the middle of each of the long sides of the Pack n Play. Start with either long side. You will have to press very hard on either side of that button; I found it helpful to use both hands, one pressing on the outside of the playpen, the other hand pressing on the inside of the playpen. Pressing these together will loosen the long support arm at the open top of the Pack n Play.

-- Do the same for the opposite long side.

-- You will also do the same, one button, one side at a time, for each of the two short sides of the Pack n Play.

-- Now pull up on the red handle in the middle, and guide the four corners so they meet and close.

-- Cover.

I found the buttons may not have fully allowed the support arms to collapse, thus blocking the Pack n Play from folding down completely. If so, try pressing the button again (both the outside and the inside at the same time).

By the way, I've found it to be an exercise in frustration in trying to obtain an instruction manual from the manufacturer. I'm very disapopinted with this purchase and in particular this company.

Hope this helps!

I just bought a Cosco Juvenile playpen. My entire family has tried and failed to set up this piece of junk. I don't understand why it won't lock in place and I don't understand why they advertise "quick and easy."

How do I fold up the playpen

It's a struggle!
Pull up on the handle in the centre of the floor till it is as high as it can go.
On each of the sides there is a plastic piece in the middle. If you feel around them you can find a little button sticking out (it's on the side facing out of the playpen). Push that little button and push down on the middle of the top bar and it should collapse. There are 4 sides to the playpen - and 4 little buttons.

How do you fold a cosco playpen

1. Pull the mat out.
2. Lift bars under mat (you can't see them but can feel them)
3. Click buttons on the rods that make up the top railing (they are in the center of the rods and you can't usually see them either)
4. Fold

I cannot release the top bars on the Cosco playpen.

  • This is a safety feature.
  • When picking up the playpen you need pull pull the middle clear up first and then the side rails can be released.
  • When you set it up again make sure you set the rails up first and then push down the middle.

  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

How i close my cosco plypen modle#05132cczj

Hi,

Check the below instructions. It might not be the same same as what the manufacturer envisioned but it worked for many people.

-- With the pad removed from the inside of the Pack n Play, pull up on the red handle so as to loosen the legs;

-- Next, you will find there is a big button in the middle of each of the long sides of the Pack n Play. Start with either long side. You will have to press very hard on either side of that button; I found it helpful to use both hands, one pressing on the outside of the playpen, the other hand pressing on the inside of the playpen.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Trying to put together a Foundations playpen but sides will not

The "trick" with the collapsing the foundations playpen is to step on the middle ring while pulling up on the "quick release latch in the middle of the long sides first, then the short sides.
Works every time!

I collapsed my Cosco Safari playpen and now I can not get the sides to stay up. They just remain collapsed. How do I fix this?

pull up the sides while the center is still up. If you flatten the center of the playpen first, the sides will not engage.

The sides are like elbows. You have to hyper-extend the elbows upward to get them to lock. It took my husband's strength on the longer sides.
