The C1450 records audio but will not play it back. To hear your videos you must transfer them to a computer and play them there or connect your camera to a TV. See the bottom of this page of the extended user guide.

Make sure the card is not locked. Move the slide switch on the side of the card back and forth a couple of times ending with unlocked. Let me know the results.

Digital camera's do not normally operate as a webcam however I have come across the odd one that can do this. Cameras usually appear as a removable disk to the opperating system. Are you sure your camera can work in this way?
