We have an orion model 1934 tv and can only pick up a few channels on it-less than 12 and it is hooked to our cable which has 70 channels access. this is a 2002 year make so i think it should pick up a lot...

If you can, go into the ch set menu and change it from tv to catv(cable). then run the auto ch memory. I hope this helps. Orion's free help line is 800 289 0980.

Many channels do not come in. I feel it needs reprograming. I have cable .

Make sure that the set is in the correct mode. It sounds like the set is expecting TV signals from an antenna rather than cable. The cable channel assignments are different. Place the set into CABLE mode and autoprogram the set. That should resolve the problem.

V-chip

I found this on Bob Vilas website, it worked for my t.v. hope this helps someone else out-ttu821
"This will probably work for most Orion V-chips... I figured it out looking at another manufacturer's instructions, on my Orion it was:
* Turn the volume down to 0
* Change to a blocked channel (where it asks for V-Chip password)
* On the TV (not from the remote) hold the volume down button
* (While holding volume on TV) hold the '0' key on the remote for between 2-10 seconds...
* The screen should unlock, and you should save no V-Chip restrictions.
You can now use your manual to find out how to set the restrictions you want."

You might try substituting a new fuse. Be sure the replacement has the same rating. You may have a short in your power supply and depending on the type of supply the supply may not start up if it has overload protection. Stargazer

Orion tv model 1934 only 3, 4 and aux no pic or sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Turn the set on, hook the cable directly to the TV, take the remote control and press 1 - 1 and if the TV tunes in channel 11 then your set is fine. If the TV was autoprogrammed when hooked to a cable box then the only channels that will be stored in memory are 3, maybe 4 and AUX. To correct this simply go back into the menu and look for the "autoprogram" option and perform the autoprogram while the cable is directly connected to the TV, without a cable box.
