Hello,
For the above mentioned issue the best solution is to reset and reconfigure your router. Before you reset your router lease make sure that you have the user name and password given to you by the Internet service provider and the disk provided with the router to re-install it.
Step 1: At the back of the router you have a small hole called reset, press and hold it for 10 seconds. Step 2: Disconnect the power from the router and after 30 seconds and power it back on. Step 3: Now run the disk provided with the router and check if there is a firmware/software update to it.
Once this is complete you should not be facing this issue again.

Good day. For your problem as suggest for you to contact at&t and ask for a modem replacement. It should not take an hour for your dsl light to turn solid green. A red light also indicates a problem on the modem itself. Better to get it now than to lose your connection permanently in the future. Hope this information help you a lot. Have a great day to you.

Modem, Router and PC

1. Press and hold the reset button on the back of your modem for 10 seconds to fully reset your modem to initial factory defaults.

2. Wait for the modem's Power and DSL LEDs to turn solid green.

3. Open your computer's Internet browser and your modem should launch a mini-setup routine. Enter your FastAccess DSL username in the format of [email protected], enter your FastAccess DSL password and confirm your FastAccess DSL password and click next, then there will be an "Auto Calender Update Configuration" page where you will set the auto update info and timezone info so just enter the info and click next.

4. Your browser will refresh the page and say everything is ready to go, this may take a few moments. When this is complete type 192.168.1.254 into your browser's address bar and click on the "Broadband DSL Line" tab, then on the right, click on Connection configuration.

5. Change the Protocol from the dropdown box to Bridged Ethernet Mode, and then click on Save and Restart Connection.

6. Open your computer's Internet browser again and type in 192.168.1.1 into your browser’s address bar. In the Internet Setup, change the Internet Connection Type to PPPoE and enter your FastAccess DSL username in the format of [email protected], enter your FastAccess DSL password and click on Save Settings.

7. Close all windows and restart your computer. Your internet should now be working.

Guys..need help...bumili ako ng CDR-KING ROUTER CW-8196..nadedetect ko ung wifi signal pero walang internet access. pero pag direkta sa LAN ung net ko.malakas naman net ko..windows 7 gamit ko...


DUDE..simple lang yan...if meron ka modem...off mo muna modem..
tapos..un-install mo yung "ETHERNET ADAPTER"
den...from Modem connect mo to CDR-king Router - PC, tapos " restart "
and MAGIC...OK na NET MO..pati WIFI...

I have type 4 utstarcom modem.my modem restarts now and then,dsl light goes on blinking and i loose net connection. is it the problem of modem?

this may be because
1.of the modem problem also

2.votage fluctuations.when the voltage comin to modem falls the modem gets off and when you get it right then it starts again.

3.the net gets connected only when the DSL light is glowing continously.As the modem switchs off and starts up again it takes time for the DSL light to glow continously.

OK when you use external modem you have to creat a new net connection. and there you make it default modem. but follow the. 1st uninstall your external modem, restart, then run external modem set up after a while your system ask for modem that time you connect your modem and follow the instruction. then restart your pc. after that create a new connection point for net connecting and make a default with these modem, restart ur system. after that you can connect your net i wish.

Unlock code for huawei eg162g usb modem


idea uses huawei eg162g data card to unlock this you need to edit the deviceinfo.xml file
go through it and where ever it is written "<item name="WCDMA" Alias="" SMMode="PDU" ProductNet="WCDMA" SimUnlock="Y">" change it to <item name="WCDMA" Alias="" SMMode="PDU" ProductNet="WCDMA" SimUnlock="N">
and save the file remember it is right protected file. to overwrite this save the edited file to some other location and then copy and paste in the program files/idea net setter/

close your idea net setter and restart net setter now you can use any sim cards
