How many times does the light blink in between pauses? Also is your model the KP-61HS10 ? Please respond to this same post and I should be able to help you.
I have the same issue. It blinks 5 times. One option I read was to go to the Advanced Video Settings Menu however each time the TV blinks the menu disappears before I can even get a quick glance in. Another thing I read was that it could be the Video output. Would plugging my DVD player into a different output slot help? Would solving the problem be any easy and cheap do it yourself fix or would I need a repair shop? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Check transistors Q510, Q516 and Q524 all located on the A board. Thats what usually causes the 5 blink error the video output transitor on either the Red, Blue or Green CRT drive boards could cause the issue but they are far less likely.

Same exact problem, the image keeps going off and coming back on and the red light blinks.
KP-61HS10, standby/timer light blinks 5 times, picture flashes off then back on. Audio not interrupted.

I am having the same problem with mine. The flashing light will blink 5 times and the screen goes blank, but there is still sound. I have the KP-61HS10. Is this an easy fix or expensive one??
the red light just keeps on blinking and yea it is that model but also do u now how to get rid of the split screen.
