I am a 30 year Lanier technician and still have many parts available from equipment. You could try to send them to Medquist in the USA. I believe they still fix the tape units, but are now mostly dealing with digital systems. In Canada, I know Lanier Healthcare Canada still repairs some of these units, as long as they aren't too old, the parts and service are still available.
