the only way is to use dolby pro logic mode but you can not set the volume of centre and surround speakers individually now,for that you need a remote.
to get the digital you have to have the digital optical line or the coax rca jack digital audio connection from device to stereo reciever to get the dolby digital surround sound to work , otherwise you can only get a virtual surround sound from the reciever( no dolby digital )
hi i heared about you cd changer problem. i have a same hi-fi system an i have the same problem. it seems it appears when you hit.move or turn upside down the cd changer. you can solve it by unscrewing the top of the hi-fi with a regullar screw there should be 5 screws on the back and 4 on the sideways after this take the top off by pulling it upwards then you should plug in the hi-fi at the outlet and try to change the cd if it doesn't work try seeing if any of the cd is stuck in there if it is try to push it with your fingers but watch your fingers and do not touch any metallic part if in doesnt work like this eithertray looking if the cd-reader is stuck in any way......try to free it with your fingers but watch your fingers too if it doesnt work try to contact me at :[email protected] il help you with any sound-sistem problem :D ;)
You should have a AUDIO menu in which you can simulate true surround sound. This should be in your owners manual. Your DVD is recorded in dolby surround sound that's why on your set it will be reproduced as recorded. I hope Samsung is using a ATSC tuner in that model?
I have the same system, the ports for surround speakers only seem to work with the actual surround speakers I bought mine with. I did try to change them but found a sound issue. Looking to buy a new 5 cd changer as mine was damaged during our recent move. Looking to buy model number DX-Z9400M
