A merchant, beforedying, decided to sell his very valuable coin collection to three coin collectors. The first collector bought half of the coin collection plus half a coin, The second collector bought...

There are an infinite number of solutions to this. However, if you also stipulate that the three collectors between them bought the entire collection then there is only one solution.

There were seven coins to start with. The first collector bought half the collection (three-and-a-half) plus one-half or four coins, leaving three. The second collector bought half the remainder (one-and-a-half) plus one-half or two coins, leaving one. The third collector bought half the remainder (one-half) plus a half or one coin, leaving none.

$36 on hand. coins are in .25, .10 and .05 denominations. 4 times as many .05 coins as .25 coins and the number of .10 coins is 30 more than the number of .25 coins. how many coins of each kind do i have?

  1. Number of 0.25 coins is x, number of 0.10 coins is y and number of 0.05 coins is z.
  2. First equation is 0.25x+0.10y+0.05z=36.
  3. You also know that z=4x and y=x+30.
  4. You substitute that in first equation and you get: 0.25x+0.10*(x+30)+0.05*4x=36 or 0.25x+0.10x+0.2x=36-3 or 0.55x=33
  5. Now you know that x is 33/0.55=60 and y=x+30=90 and z=4x=240.

If there were 8 coins of the same weight kept on 1 side and one coin of different weight but biy mistake the coin of the more weight gets mixed in those coins .we have to find the coin using top pan...

Compare any 3 coins vs and other 3: If the weight is the same, weigh the 2 remaining coins. If one side is heavier remove the lighter 3, and compare 2 of the 3 from the heavier side: If they weigh the same, the one not weighed is the odd coin, if the weight is different, you have found your odd coin on the scale.

I recommend very highly you go to a local coin shop and have the coin checked. There was a 1 Dollar coin minted at one time, very long ago, and it could be worth upwards of $10,000 or more if the coin is real. The coin must be validated and if validated you can then choose to pay for rating. Rating is very important and because of the many grades of rating used for coins it is very important to have validated coins rated by a professional. As an example, a coin rated MS 64 grade is worth $5000 where a coin rated MS 65 grade may be worth $20,000 or more. That is how particular he coin market is with old coins. I am not saying that coin is worth a great deal or money. I am saying it COULD be worth a lot of money and without any other reference there is or pictures there is no way I could even come close to giving you a value, nor could anyone else. At best we would be guessing. In most cases the coin store will verify the coin is real for free but want to charge to have the coin rated. It is well worth the fee for rating, trust an old coin collector. Have fun.

Coin completely jammed in vertical coin drop mechanism

unplug the machine, open the top of the coin op i use a stubby 5/16 nut driver, you have to remove the rod and it's a 5/16 inch rod, turn it counter clockwise to remove, this rod holds the unit in place, when you have the rod out then you can grab the front where you put the money in and lift it up and out,it sits in a couple of slotted holes

How do you get all the 240 coins in New Super Mario ?

You don't need to have all 240 star coins on you the entire time.
Though this does count the star coins for you, its not required.
As long as you've collected the star coins in each stage, then you'll have that coin for good and your total amount of codes still count.
So there's no penalty to spending the star coins if you want to.

You can't see how many total star coins you have however but you can check each level one by one to see if you have their star coins.

Also the star coins are pretty much meant to be spent.
After you beat the game you can find a new spot in world one. This is a semi hidden mushroom house.
You can go in and buy new backgrounds for the bottom screen with all your star coins.

Hope that helps.
Have fun.
