You need to check the "Thermal fuse","thermal cut-off" and "high-limit thermostat". Check all three with a multimeter for continuity. Replace as needed.

I would check your thermal fuse. It is the white plastic looking fuse with 2 wires going to it should be somewhere near your blower housing. There is also a hi limit thermostat and thermal cut off that could cause a no heat issue. Just remove the thermostats and bring them into an appliance parts store and have them check them for continuity. If the thermal fuse is bad then also replace your cycling thermostat 3387134 and check your venting because this will blow from a vent restriction or over heating. Hope this helps.

KENMORE DRYER JUST STOPPED HEATING UP WHAT CAN I DO TO REPAIR IT?

Replace the Heating Element. The heating element is usually located behind a panel on the back. To replace you will need to remove the back cover of the dryer, then locate the heating element. The heating element is screwed into place and is easy to unscrew and replace. Be sure to have the dryer unplugged while doing this.
Here is the part for it:

All of a sudden, my 18 year old Kenmore gas dryer is not producing hot air. The motor is working & the barrel is revolving. What can I do short of spending $500-$600 for a new comparable Kenmore gas...

It sounds like your heating element has given up the ghost and broken OR you have a bad thermostat that isn't telling the heating element to work. I would suggest you find the tag on your dryer with the model number on it and then go to www.searsparts.com and look it up and find the heating element and thermostat and decide if you want to spend that much.

NOTE: Usually, on older models, I always recommend that my client replace both so that I don't have to come back again in a few months to change the other. They seem to both fail close to each other.

The dryer isnt putting out any heat but is running any suggestions?

Yep, your heating element broke. If you open up the back of the dryer you will see what look like springs surrounding the drum. Follow the springs until you find the break. Replace the element. Hope this Helps.

How do I remove the heating element from my Kenmore 65962401 dryer?

Remove the service panel bottom front and the element will be on the right hand side. The element yanks out of its housing.
9324bf1.jpgThis video shows how to replace the thermister. The element is directly to the right of that.

Here is an older model like yours:

Dryer rotates, but there is zero heat. Kenmore Series 80, model 0104806

First check your breakers in the power box to the house. If one the the legs is tripped, the cylinder will turn but will not heat. Next, check the thermostat switches near the heating element for continuity. If no continuity, replace them. Check heating element for continuity. If no continuity, replace.
