My computer does not recognize my phone, and i want to upload pictures and videos.

You neglected to specify how you're trying to upload your videos so I can only give general hints.
First, make sure you're using a program that recognizes videos. If you're using a program designed to copy photos, that's exactly what it will do -- copy photos. Videos aren't photos, and such a program will ignore them.


The best way to download pictures and videos from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.


Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures and videos from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, as I suggested earlier, use a program that recognizes both photos and videos, such as Nikon Transfer.

1. Determine Connection and Equipment Needed

   • 2 Install the software and follow directions carefully. Often, there will be very specific steps involved in ensuring that the cell phone and the computer recognize one another. For example, if you connect the phone before downloading and installing the software, the computer may not recognize your cell phone properly.
     
   • 3 Test the software and make sure everything is working properly. You should be able to pull up the software and upload all the pictures and videos on your telephone. Every cell phone manufacturer uses different software. While there isn't a single tutorial that will cover how to use every type available, most software comes with specific instructions and tutorials that will help you learn how to easily use the features available.

For uploading a picture from your cell phone to your computer, please connect your mobile phone to PC using the data cable..
This will require you to install a software called PC suite if your operating system does not recognizes your cell phone..
Install the software from the disc and syncronise your cell phone with computer,
The data stored in the storage card will be visible to you and you can copy it to a separate place in you computer..

I can'tg upload pictures. I have a polarioid t11031 digital camera, and I have a USB cord ffor it, but my computer does not recognize it when I plug it in. I want to know how I can get the pitctures off my camera and onto my computer.

The newer large capacity cards in cameras designed for smaller capacity cards seem to have trouble interfacing with our computers. The best best is to get a high speed firewire memory card reader and attach it directly to your computer.
This should allow your computer to recognize your card and also allow you quicker downloads.

Place your microsd card into the microsd adapter (this will slip into the SD slot in your pc) and then you will be able to tranfer your pictures from the microsd card to the computer. Your computer shoud automatically recognize the hardware you've inserted into the slot and should pop up a screen.

*Make sure you check your pictures on the card before removing the card from your device and placing it in pc though. You can do this by pressing menu/ok on your phone >pictures/video > my pictures/video > your phone shoudl display "extrernal memory option .

im having a similar problem but it wont recognize my videos...but for ur problem if u have a pc that takes memory cards directly it is prob the best way to upload ur pics but if anyone can fig out how i can upload vids thru the camera plug i would be so happy
