Problem will only get worse. HP knows about this and has extended wty by 2yrs for this particular issue only. Sorry I don't have a link. I found it elsewhere on this very site. May have better luck searching HP support site. It is there. I think they call it an "enhanced" wty or something like that. You need to have persistence on the phone with them, they will want to sell you wty (fairly cheap, but you can get it for free including shipping both ways). Good luck--I apologize for lack of links. Mine is at their shop as we speak.
SOURCE: should the sleep led be lite blue while notebook
There is a setting in some bios's for the sleep option. You may want to look in there to see if its active.
