The power button is jammed or stuck, I have to use my fingernails or press harder in order to turn it on/off. However, it does not stay on or off, just that the button does not pop back up. I have tried using small sharp things like needles to hopefully pry it back into its original position but that did not work either. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Normally above problem occurs when small cameras used near sea. High moisture, salty weather and sand accumulation creates above problem. Try a small drop of antitrust spray(WD40) after removing batteries.wait for 20mts operate switch slowly. Other wise switch to be replaced by camera technician.

SOURCE: Camera won't stay on; date/time won't stay set

Are you sure the lens is actually going all the way out? If there is debris in the zoom gearing it can cause the lens to stop extending which would in turn cause the camera to re-retract the lens and show an error. Other possible explanations are that the sensor which determines when the lens has reached full extension has failed, so the camera keeps extending the lens until it reaches the physical limit - and then behaves just as if there was a jam as described above. The fact that this occurs both when you power on and power off the camera leads me to think this may be the case. The loss of date and time settings is due to a dead backup battery. Check your manual to see if this is replaceable by you or if it requires disassembly. David Millier Advance Camera Repair

SOURCE: Stuck shutter release button on my D100

Ouch...

The damage may require parts, but maybe not. If I were doing the work, I would charge in the $50-$60 range , plus parts if needed.

Nikon will likely quote you much higher $200+

Panasonic SC-PM11 will not turn off

The power button could either be jammed or stuck on the TV or on the remote. Or the batteries are low in the TV's remote. Try unplugging your TV for a about 1 minute to see if that fixes the problem.

All in one printer displays clear paper jam then press ok, but no paper jam can be found on printer. hp photosmart c5380 all in one.

There are a number of things that can cause a carriage jam. To prevent it from recurring, one should keep in mind a number of things. Always ensure that the paper tray is not overloaded as this might result in the paper being stuck inside. Also the paper being used should be as per the manufacturer's recommendations. Turn off the printer when removing bits of paper. If there is a broken gear, do not repair it yourself. Call an expert HP technician to mend it.

    Phantom jams & button undetection

Sounds like a button may be stuck or something. Reset machine by powering off, press and hold start button at same time while powering machine back up. Hold the start button down for a few seconds and release. This should help. Let me know if it does not and I may be able to walk you through another bit harder reset.
