Hello! hope someone can help. i have an indesit DG6100W dishwasher. I turn it on, it goes half way ish through the cycle then just sticks and doesnt carry on! how can i fix it?? any ideas??? someone mentioned i should do a reset on the timer - how on earth do i do that!!!
hope you can help! thanks!
Hi, I have the same dishwasher and it fills from the cold supply, not the hot and it doesn't have a cold cycle as is previously suggested, as you will know kellyemb :-)
The Indesit DG6100W does a fill from the cold and heats as it washes, so if it's sticking part way through, it could be the heating element. Have you tried opening the door when it sticks and seeing if the water is hot? The heating element went on ours and it kept tripping the electric whenever the it tried to start to heat the cold water. If it is the element, they don't cost much to replace, even cheaper if you know someone who can fit it for you! Ours cost us around £12 and hubby fitted.
The only other thing I can think of is it might be the timer, like someone has suggested but how to reset it, I have no idea. I have seen on another website that a replacement timer is around £55 plus VAT, which is a little expensive.
Hope you get it fixed.
Try selecting a cycle that doesn't heat the water. (quick, delicate, china etc.) Don't use a sanitize, hot wash, hot rinse or heated dry option either. When a dishwasher trys to heat the water it pauses the timer until the sensor is satisfied. It continues to wash/heat. Another possible problem , Run the water at the sink until it is hot before you start the machine. A dishwasher isn't capable of heating cold water. It is just designed to boost the temp of hot water. If it completes the cycle this way, the sensor is bad not the timer.
