Good Day,

This is a common problem with this TV, but there is an upgrade to correct the CONVERVGENCE circuit problem.
If you want to repair this concern yourself: Contact: B&D ENTERPRISES,
1-800-458-6053, www.bdent.com and ask for KIT10 for your Hitachi TV.
If you want some else to do the repair for you call an Authorized Service Center.
Good Luck, big IRISH.

Can you post a picture of your picture so I can see the type of distortion youre having? It sounds like a convergence Issue, but a picture would help me acurately diagnose the problem. Please respond to this same post.

Picture is not very clear and the color is faded and can not adjust it

This mite sound crazy but it is time to change the oil in your TV. Yes your TV has three seperate picture tubes on the inside of it. A red tube, blue tube, and green tube. Each one of thses tubes has a clear oil that the light shines through. Over time this oil gets cloudy and distorts the light thus dimming and fadeing your picture please have a tech change the oil in your tubes.

How to fix yellow hue center bottom of picture.what causes this

Most often color distortion is due to the bulb wearing out. Projector bulbs often fade or distort colors before they actually burn out. The other thing you can try is to reset the projector to it's factory settings, which sometimes fixes color issues. It's usually an option in the "settings" area of the menu.

Blue screen, no picture for my Magnavox flat screen 42MF7000/17

The problem you describe is being produce the the micro processer, processer is only replaced at fact, but there is some good news.

1- the micro processed sits on the main unit, option replace main unit about 250-350.
2- research companies that might referbish the board.

http://www.ptscorp.com/ better to call them

DLP Colors Are Off - Picture Is Mostly Blue and Yellow

Sounds like you've lost your red video signal (chroma) somewhere along the line. This tv has a 3 board video path. Analog main pcb --->Digital main pcb --->DMD pcb. The analog has all your inputs on it, except DVI and RGB which go straight into the digital board. The digital scales (upconverts) the signal to HD (1080 or native) and sends it to the DMD or light engine. See which inputs are distorted. If only DVI is clean then you problem is the analog board. If you menu and everything is distorted then suspect the DMD board. If you run component or DVI through the resolutions (480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i) you can get an idea between the digital board and dmd. The menu is generated on the digital board. Somewhere red is getting lost.

Blue streaks across picture

Can you describe in a little more detail what the symptoms are? Are the streaks thin lines or are they large thick swashes of Blue? Is yur video still visible? Sounds like it may be the blue convergence amps or the resistor tied into the amps. is there anyway you can post a picture of your screen distortion?
