Hi, Seems your compressor is out of service. You can check the current draw ( by using AC Ampere meter). You can compare the reading with manual book. If the reading is far below, it tell you your compressor is malfunction ( died) and need replacement. Regards,

Samsung RF265 no longer makes ice. What might be wrong?

I have seen some very helpful info here and agree with those who are helping. However, if none of these ideas work, I have one more that I have seen work many times on new and even really old icemakers. Anyway, take out icemaker. Take cover off the icemaker that will expose a gear or two. VERY CAREFULLY turn the large gear just a half a tooth distance. If it will move a full tooth distance that's okay but don't get too tough with it. Put the cover back on, re-install, make sure the icemaker is plugged in good, arm is down in the "making ice" position and that the water is on. Then leave it completely alone over night and see if you have ice in the morning. Sometimes the motor that drives the harvest cycle gets "stuck" for lack a better term and works fine after that. I have done this with my personal icemaker a couple of times over the last 15 yrs I've had it. Repairmen will never do this or tell you little secrets like this because they don't know or don't want a second call if it doesn't work so its best for them to just sell a new one. Good luck!!! Hi, I have a GS6NBEXRB02 side by side refrigerator. The problem is the ice dispenser is not working. Water dispenser works just fine. I read one solution was to remove the motor and let it dry. I will...

First check the dual water valve. If the valve is bad, it will need replacing. Try ordering the recommended icemaker part from AppliancePartsPros. It should arrive in a few days and should take less than 15 minutes to drop in. This new unit should start producing ice in less than 30 minutes.

If you think it is the motor, try Sears Parts direct (put in search engine) and you will get step by step instructions.

Hope this helps,
David

The ice maker isn't working right. sometimes it keeps making ice and won't stop. Other times it just doesn't make ice at all.

this is probably due to the lever on the bottom of your unit not initiating with the switch in other words its not turning it off when it fills and not turning it on when it emptys in time best thing to do would be to buy another icemaker they sell no parts for icemakers and it wouldnt be worth to buy them if they did best to just replace icemaker check marcone appliance parts they are pretty cheap on there icemakers please remember to rank how this opinion helped in you appliance situation and if i can answer any further questions message me back have a great day

Icemaker not working/whirlpool ultraease

I'm sorry I don't have a solution...I am having the same problem, except the water has stopped in the ice machine. I have the same make and model refrigerator. Is it common for the water valve in the back of the frigerator to go bad? Is the valve easily replaced? Where can I buy the valve? Is there a trigger in the rear of the freezer where the icetray connects? I also took my ice tray out and it doesn't seem to fit back in correctly. I'd rather take the ice machine apart myself before I call a technician who will charge me an arm and a leg! Any further advice would be appreciated. Thank you

Whirlpool Ice Maker Won't release ice

Jetguy77,

I have a 1993 year (16 years old now) Whirlpool side-by-side with icemaker, Model ED22PW. I have had similar problems with the icemaker - water goes in, freezes, but ice does not eject from tray. It has happened to this unit 2 times since 1993. It turns out the problem is not the thermostat. It is the icemaker motor module. The icemaker has a small synchronous (clock) motor that rotates the ice ejector. When it goes bad, the ejector does not rotate, either because the module timer had failed or the motor itself has failed. The solution is to go to your nearest applinace parts dealer and by a new "icemaker motor module" for Whirlpool Model (your model here). Mine cost $58.85 the last time I replaced it in 2006. To install the new module, you will need to remove the icemaker from the refrigerator. Mine has 3 screws that attach it to the side. Also unplug the power & control cable. The water tube slides out when you pull the unit forward. When you get it out, it is then easy to remove the motor module and insert the new one. You may have to reset the timer on the module to get the tray to fill completely.

Refrigerator Whirlpool Gold Conquest (Side by side)

the ice maker is of a poor design. There is a wheel that essentially is the mechanical timing device of the icemaker. The shaft in the wheel is of poor design and it breaks leaving a non-functioning useless ice maker. Whirlpool does not sell the wheel & shaft assembly - you have to virtually buy a new icemaker. Takes about 10 minutes to replace. Charge for the part = $107; charge for the labor = $175

General electic gsh25jfta bb

According to the manual for your refrigerator:
Blinking green light indicates an ice cube is stuck in the icemaker. To fix - Turn off the ice maker with the on/off switch. Then remove all of the ice from the icemaker by hand and turn it back on.

I hope this helps.

Hotpoint side by side Model HSS25GFPJWW

Your problems are the power board for sure. I have the same refrigerator and have read dozens of forums and advise pages looking for answers. If you let the problem countinue your fridge will completely stop cooling and all your food will be trash as has happened to me.

Symptoms: Fan in the back starts to make click or flopping sound as it tries to start up. Ice despenser doesent despense ice. water works sometimes. Eventually you notice your food defrosting partially and then refreezing as the defrost timer stops working which is controlled by the power board. Light dims and pulses when you hold the Ice despencer in. If you remove the light for the dispencer your water will work fine as long as the fan isnt making the clicking noise. Fan will eventually start up and run.

FYI GE customer Care is useless

Hotpoint HSS25GFP icemaker stopped working

are u sure that model # Is right.. DOnt come up in any of my model data bases Seems like u might of got a bad icemaker.. if the water is coming into the icemaker from the water valve.. icemaker has to have power, to do that... all funtions after that would be controled by the iceaker .. The only other thing i can think of is your refrigerator has to be a certain temp to activate icemaker somewhere around 0 give or take some to be safe
