on the card make sure u havent accidentally switched the little write protector switch on the side of it. if thats flicked then u cant write to it or delete images off it because it locks the card up to protect ur images

Memory card is locked and cannot delete pictures

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Kodak Easy Share C182 camera is telling me to remove protection to delete pictures. How do I do this???

There are several possible causes for "memory card locked/protected", "memory card error", or "no memory card". The most common cause is having the tiny slide switch on the side of the card in the wrong position. There are also other common causes if the above didn't help, with troubleshooting steps for this problem listed here.

The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

I have a Kodak Easy Share C182 . I want to delete some pictures and it tells me to remove protection to delete, and it also tells me image is protected please tellmje stepby step how to clear this...

The most common cause for telling you that the card is locked is having the tiny slide switch on the side of the card in the wrong position.
- see photo below:
Set the lock slider to locked or unlocked.man-3ds-sdcardlockswitch-287-181.png
  • The down position will enable write-protection, locking the card.
  • The up position will unlock the card, enabling you to save and erase data on the card

Need to delete protected pictures

Try to remove first the memory card of your camera. After you remove the card you can see a small button at the side of the memory card. Just slide the small button to unprotected. Insert your memory card back to your camera and try to delete pictures.

Kodak Easyshare V803 "unrecognized file format."

Sounds like there is a fault in the SD card.

Try an alt. card reader and computer.

Hopefully you will have the chance to retrieve the pics. If not ;(

Once pics are transferred. The SD card needs to be formatted. Remember this will delete all data on the card.

Disk is write protedted in my kodak v803 model

its very simple solution to avoid the write protect facility.
as u aware of the floppy disc.. in this we will adjust the notch upper corner of the floppy.
same way u remove the sd slot and adjust the notch of that sd slot
the easly u can remove or format.

where as in inner memory was locked we can easly remove the lock (refer the manual)

so i may hope this will help u to solve the problem
