Check the outlet hose goes UP at least 50-60cm before going down to the drain point, if not all water will syphon out as soon as it goes in

Hello!
"floods the kitchen"... do you mean it overfills, or that it fills, the water valve shuts off, and then while running it leaks out?
Perhaps the water level control float that is on the inside of the machine is stuck or there is packing material inside it for shipping???
The float valve would be on the bottom of the tub and probably looks about the size of a hockey puck and has to move freely up and down to detect the level of water. If the water level were to get too high, the valve will float up and release a micro switch that it controls with a little shaft that runs down through a small opening in the bottom of the tub.
Check to see that it moves freely up and down... you likely will be able to hear a bit of a "click" of a micro switch.
If the float was stuck, it probably is safe to try to run the dishwasher again... but stand by just in case !!!!
Hope this was the problem and now it works !!!

Westinghouse Dishwasher 905,prewash light keeps flashing and wont start to next cycle.Turn it on it makes the pump noise then the light just flashes.Help please.

Gary Miller was closest. You can also try this:
After the outlet hose has drained, open the dishwasher door and blow hard into the outlet hose (try not to get any gunk in your mouth! I usually put my hand in between the hose and my mouth.
You will find a bit of resistance then it should clear. Remove the filter (the one you remove and clean after every wash) and see if there is any gunk in the sump. Remove what you can by drawing the water out as best you can and using a rag to remove the gunk. Close the door and see if it tries to fill. Let it fill for a while until there is some water in the sump. Do the blow through the outlet hose trick again to see if it has cleared.
If you ket the dishwasher drain via the outlet hose, any gunk in the hose will end up clogging it again.

Westinghouse sb915 - draining too early.

1. Is your drain point higher than the bottom of the dishwasher? (ie, does it drain into the garbage disposer or does the drain line drop down below the floor into house plumbing?) Did you just install the unit? You may have to install an "air gap" to prevent syphoning.

2. Did the dishwasher work then suddenly stop working? (asking for clarification)

Won't fill with water

Bosch dishwashers typically have flood sensors in the bottom, below the motor. If there is still water in the pan the machine will not fill with water and only try to run the drain pump. Be sure there is no water in the dishwasher pan

Water does not fill .

chances are, your water switch is stuck..
its the thing inside the dishwashe that kinda looks like a plastic mushroom.. (its a float)
sometimes they get corroded with excess detergent.. wiggle that up and down some to free up the float and it just might fix your problem.

Contunuous draining turned into a flood when unit powered off

The fill valve is governed by the float switch. I doubt that your fill valve (solenoid) has failed.

Focus on replacing the float switch and you should be all set.

Good Luck!

SA 660 SMEG dishwasher constantly filling....

this can be water draining from your sink into the dishwasher via the drain pipe, assuming the drain pipe goes to a spigot on the sink trap.
take the drain hose up as high as possible in a swan neck to prevent this.

Dishwasher filling with water and flooding when not in use

check to see if your dishwasher is level. If it is unlevel the water could run to the front. Hope this helps.

Won't drain

The drian could be plugged or the pump could have an obstruction. Did you just install a garbage disposer? If you did you may need to knock out the plug in the disposer. Hope this helps
