Being a repair shop in the Denver area I use to complain about the cost of buying Motorola software. It seems they come out with a new model as much as car manufactures do and of course you have to get new software. I received a bunch of LPE's in for repair from the EDAC Denver system and had to purchase the software just to tune the radios. M/A COM software covers more than one model but cost over a thousand dollars!! and you can only load it on one computer if you want to add more computers on the license it would cost me extra $800.00 each. I guess if you are a Ericsson, M/A COM shop and see hundreds of radios it is worth it. I ended up buying one copy to take care of my customer Michael

How to turn clone mode on a kenwood tk3402u-k radio that appears to be locked

You need the programming software and the PC programming cable. It is all in the software. You cannot undo the locked feature without the software.

Clone Motorola BPR40 with PMDN4060AR, but I'm getting a low continual tone from the slave radio from Ch 2 above

Even with a cloning cable, you cannot always clone. The source radio and receiving radio must (1) be the same exact model, (2) have cloning enabled in the software a dealer used when they were programmed the first time. It sounds like you are doing the correct procedure.

Icom ic fr5000 clone NG whats is solution for this?

Clone means that you are copying radio program from one radio to another of the exact same radio. For some reason the other radio did not take the information. The radio may now need to be re programmed and not cloned in order to work.

Can i clone motorola xts 2500 radio to a motorola mtx 8250 ls radio

No, they will not clone. The radios are two separate models with two separate programming softwares. If the radios are the same bandsplit, they can be programmed to match one another using the appropriate softwares.

Best regards.

Motorola XTNi off frequency

There are several ways:
1) Customer Programming Software (CPS)*
Allows users to perform various programming
functions. Plus, the CPS software provides access
to new features such as Radio Reporting to
manage cloning and radio profiles, Manager Lock,
Power Select, and Time-Out Timers.
* CPS is available as an optional accessory, including required USB cable.
2) Easy Cloning
Quickly copy settings from radio to radio with
either the Radio-to-Radio Cloning Cable or the
Multi-Unit Charger accessories. (Both sold
separately.)

You should be able to purchase any of this software/equipment from your retailer where you purchased the radio.

Best regards.

Need to know how to program a Ritron RTX-450

One of the three following remedies should help you: 1) Contact your local Ritron dealer and they can program the radio via programming cable and computer, using the appropriate software. 2) Clone the radio using a cloning cable, from a master radio. 3) Contact Ritron at 800-872-1872. They can assist you with locating a place to get the radio programmed, or you can purchase software and cables through them.

Motorola XTNi two way radio red light on all the time

The XTNi is a European version of the Radius CP110 and the Spirit RDX series. This unit is user-programmable. It is possible the radios you have with the same symptoms have a programming issue.

There are 3 ways to program the radio: 1) using the CPS software and cable, 2) using the 6-unit charger as a cloning station, or 3) using 2 single unit chargers linked together via a cloning cable. It is also possible to change limited programming features by hand.

We suggest you take one of your XTNi radios which is functioning correctly and clone the codeplug (copy the programming) into the non-functioning radios to see if it clears the problem. If not, the unit should still be under warranty. Take it back to the place where you purchased it and see if you can get it repaired under warranty. (This unit has only been available for about one year, so yours should still be under warranty.)

One other issue might be effecting the radios, which would be rare to happen on more than one radio at the same time. This would be "lock in transmit". You could tell if this were the case, because the radio's display would not change when you press any of the buttons. This problem would also require repair.

Motorola mts 2000

MTS2000 software will operate on Win98 and possibly XP, depending on the revision number you have. Yes, you can clone if the model number is the same. It will clone the entire codeplug of the radio. (Note: you will not have 2 same serial numbers. These are unique to the individual radio.)
