On saturday I changed the 6 CDs in my changer. Up until then it had been working without any problem. It started to play the first disk then stopped and now goes through each disk and ends up saying 'no disk'. All the CDs are genuine and in the correct weay round. I have disconnected the power supply to the unit in the hopes it would reset but no change. Really irritated that if I had left the other CDs in I wouldnt have had the problem
Leaving the other CD's in would not have changed things. This was just a coincidence that it happened then.
You may have a bad laser pick up, that is the most common failure for these when they won't read a disc. You can try running a lens cleaning disc thru it and see if that helps. If it doesn't help, you really need to have it serviced by a professional service center.
The laser pickk up can fail at any given time, it is kinds like a light bulb. Most of the time it works just fine right up until it fails. Nothing you can do about that. Don't blame yourself for changing the magazine. it really had nothing to do with it.
Let me know if you need any more help with this,

Thanks Dave - will try the lens cleaning disc before forking out any serious money.
