There might be compatibility issue. Try running the compatibility wizard in vista. You can start the wizard by typing compatibility wizard in windows Help and Support; it will display a link. Select your powershot software in the list of programs and choose XP in the compatibility mode.

Canon A460 software not installing

The software may not be compatible with Vista. You'll need to go to the support section of the Canon website to check for updates.

I have Canon 2S IS camera , changed OS to Vista

It would be easier to get a card reader for about $10 or $15 at an electronics store. They hook right up and thee is less chance of damaging your cameras USB port.

I Have the powershot A10. When I got a new cpt I

Buy a USB card reader. You can get one that reads multiple formats (CF, SD, memory stick, etc) very inexpensively, usually less than $10. With the card reader, any current OS (Windows XP/Vista, Mac OS X) can see all the pictures on the card -- you don't need to connect your camera to the computer at all.

When I bought camera I had Windows XP. New computer has Vista.

So you now have Vista, but the software will not load...

If you have Windows Vista (32-bit), click this link and download the "HP photosmart software and drivers" package. Install by directions.

If you have Vista 64-bit, use this link. Download the "HP photosmart software and drivers" package. Install by directions.

Zoom Browser cannot recognize my Canon Powershot G3

It's very hard to troubleshoot software problems online, and it likely is a software issue. But why put up with the headaches of bad software in the first place? Please see the following post, as it describes the use of a card reader as a much easier, faster, and less error prone way to download your photos:

Unable to install Lumix digital camera software using Vista

First do a clean uninstall with the Windows Installer Clean up utility, after you remove the programs from your add/remove menu.
Then try inserting the cd, and going to explore it manually, look for a setup file that says vista on it, try installing that way.

Hope this might jump start the fix, I don't have vista =S

Computer just quit reconizing my Canon Pixma IP 6600 Printer. Have tried new cable, reloading drivers, different USB Ports...Nothing seems to work

First impression is try to do an install on another computer.
uninstall unit from computer, delete completely all drivers and its printer software from computer. if VISTA OS make sure a VISTA driver is loaded for that unit.

if a fairly new unit, return too store, possible short.
