Question about Coleman Propane Forced Air Heater w/Electronic Ignition (50,000-80,000 BTU)

I have an old furnace I think it is a 1962 series.I try to turn it but I forget all the procedures to make it happen.Can I please have some help to turn it on? Jack

Turn on the power to the furnace, turn on the gas valve light the pilot light some haveor had on the gas valve a push button when trying to light it you must press the button and hold it for a minute until the thermocouple warms up then let go of the button and turn the gas valve all the way on. Next is to turn up the thermostat and enjoy the warmth.

Intertherm furnace ignitor will not kick on
furnace operation= call for heat- inducer blower motor energizes- pressure switch makes- after a few seconds ignitor activates.
If this series of processes is not whats happening the furnace may be going into a code safety. Call to discuss further=913-557-9111

Honeywell RTH2300 says Heat On, but furnace isn't running.
Your tstat is not the problem. I've not yet worked on an oil furnace. I'm way down south. But either way, if your tstat was calling for heat(heat on), and you pushed a reset at the furnace, more than likely that reset is a safety. OK to reset, but now what ever that safety is preventing from happening, has failed and can not be reset until repaired. The reset should be an automatically opening switch upon unsafe operation. And manually closed to "reset" the safety. That safety is connected to something that is not working properly. Hope this helps!

Smoke fills house when furnace turns on
Assuming not talking soot smoke . new furnaces have a coating on heat exchanger from productions which must be burnt off. Generally the contractor will run unit long enough while on job with customer venting home at same time. should not take to ong to do so if this is what you are experiencing. and dont forget to install a quality carbon monixde detector or 2 as per detectors instructions.

I have a york furnace, pilot light is lit but i have not heat and no air is blowing..this happened last night also and this morning i accidently bumped into the furnace with my sons toy and it started...

From what you are telling me here, you have a loose wire inside the furnace. You could try giving it a bump again and it may work. But prbably not for long...
You need to find the bad wire or have someone look at it that can tell where the bad connection is.

Coleman roof top a/c, is the heat controlled by thermostat

on the new colman units (trane) the heat is control only from the t-stat.
i will reccomand a programble t-stat for the new unit.

easy way to fine the high usage is to turn everything off and watch your meter and have someone start turning thing back on and watch for the most usage of power

Furnace wont run
First of all when you flip the switch, it goes thru a startup sequence. THEN it turns on the Igniter (notice the red glow). Then the gas turns on.

Now at this point check the idiot light and it should be giving you a code of 34. That 34 (3 shorts 4 longs) says that there was a problem igniting the furnace. After it cycles thru at least 4 times and fails to ignite all the blowers, then is when you get a code 14 (1 short 3 longs)

NOTICE what's happening with ALL the burner Tubes each time it attempts to ignite. If only one or two are running....then this is your problem.
To fix all you do is take out the burner Tubes, look for debris, blow them out (blow from the front where all the jets are), and replace them in sequence from left to right (the tabs overlap).
