unplug from any power source. leave unplug for 15 minutes some capacitors keep power for a while so leave it unplug for a while. then turn back on. see what happens.
These are very common to have ignition switch problems. First observe the lights and gauges on the dash for normal operation.Checking for security light flashing [this will indicate if the lock housing transponder failed] I would test the starter next.
I suggest going to the Local Electronics/gaming store, i had this went to them and they said that one of the fuse's was burnt, Try that if not, call nintendo and kick their ***** !
the faceplate contacts may need to be cleaned. remove the faceplate, and using an eraser, clean the metal tabs on the main unit and rear of the faceplate.
If this doesnt remedy the problem, service is required. May be the light unit in the faceplate.
Try getting in your car and turning on all of your accecories like windsheild wipers interior light turn signals ect.if other accesories are not working locate your fuse panel and look for a fuse that corresponds to an accesorie that is not working ,replace it and it should work.If the cd player is an aftermarket cd then they have an inline fuse on the back of the unit either directly plugged into the stereo or it there will be a fuse in one of the power wires.replace if blown and you should be fine,Rate me FIXYA! if this helps.GOOD LUCK.
get a test light. check for good power on both the red and yellow wires with the key on. only one wire should have power with the key off... If one power is missing the deck will not work. Also make sure the deck has a good ground connection on the black wire....
if the unit has good power and ground and does not work the unit is probhably junk...
i am willing to bet you are probhably missing a power though.
Try cleaning the connections on the faceplate and were the faceplate meets the unit, Make sure you disconnect the power first (pull the fuses) look carfully at the pins on the radio itself were the faceplate and the radio meet see if any are bent or out of place. I think what the other person was talking about fuses is there is two fuses on the radio and there will also be two fuses in the car. So there should be four fuses to check depending on your car. Good Look.
