Have a JVC AV-32F734 only 6 years old. Last night a big pop and the smell of ozone. The screen is blank but the sound is ok. I pulled off the back to look around and found 2 circuits popped. One is black and one is blue. I believe the black one is an S421 25v and the blue one is a C432 50v. This is all I could make out on the circuits. My question is this, can this and is it worth it to get fixed? Can I do this myself or does this require an expert? If I remember correctly this tv was 500 so I don't want to put too much into it.

It might be a loose solder connection inside, try to prove it,the next time it goes blank, firmly give a whack to the back or bottom of the set,if it flashes back......sholud be a loose solder conn that a competent technician can find and repair
More common then you think, i have gone through a couple microwaves in the last ten years, they both failed very similar to what you describe. One popped the breaker one day, reset the breaker and it worked again but had an odd smell to it. I took it apart and couldn't find anything burnt or melted so i tossed it and got a new one, i didn't want a microwave burning the house down! I would suggest unless your really tied to that microwave that you just replace it for safety sake. Four years or forty years old don't matter anymore, i had one microwave, LG brand, that died two months after the warranty expired and it would cost more to repair it then replace the thing!
check the power supply board remove the back cover just follow the power cable/plug in cord, remember unplug the tv set first you will see a fuse on the power supply board maybe is pop/open if no luck sell parts on ebay will get $$$....
Does anyone know where can I buy a screen for a 27" LCD Insignia TV. Model is NS-27LCD? My screen creaked. I checked out e-bay and have not found a broken TV with a good screen. Does anyone know where I can buy a screen at. Thank you all for you time. JC
unscrew the screws along the sides and top at back. gently lower screen forward and look inside--you should see the gasket--reattach it or remove it...I just removed it after staring at it for a year or more
You didn't mention if you saw fine white diagonal lines running through the screen from top to bottom. If so, you likely have a shorted Picture Tube which is not usually fixable. If there are no lines seen running through the screen, then it is possible the High voltage transformer which also has a screen voltage and focus control built in that could be bad. I would expect the cost of that part to be about $100, so the repair cost total could approach that of a new set I would guess.
