I was playing my ps3 when the game froze and the ps3 turned off. The red light stayed on for a while and when i tried to turn it back on it wont. The red light comes on then blue and then turns off really quick. Then the red light stays blinking. Any ideas?

unplug your ps then turn back on this resets it try that ok;

i will turn on my ps3 it goes to the main screen shows but the game cd doesn't show so i will have to eject an put it in and it would start playing but it will keep freezing then when i'm playing i will beat a level then freeze so it want save every time

I'm sorry to say this but the blinking red light is = the light of Doom. Your PS3 is dead. This is somewhat like the XBOX Red ring of death.Yellow lights and blinking red lights indicates general hardware failure on ps3. If your ps3 is still under warranty call Sony and they will send you a new or refurbshed one. Your ps3 is one in a billion (according to Sony).

Now you could try doing a few things (hey it's worth a try!)
1. Turn off the switch in the back and wait a few minutes. Turn it back on and try it again. If that doesn't work it may be dead.

Sounds to me like your hardware is faulty and needs to be replaced. Check us.sony.com/support and see about their warranty assurance. If you still fall under their warranty, they will gladly replace the system.

it has a bug if it is a 40 or 60gb they are the ones that have it.

It doesn't happen to everyone, but just about.

The problem is most likely related to the GPU on the motherboard.

But let's find out for sure.

Try booting the PS3 with the hard drive removed.
