when i turn my mp3 "on" then it will refreshered and the screen will turn black it will not display anything what should i do, and it is not charging too.
well , when you have something on a charger and the end that goes into the wall is unplugged and the other end is plugged in to whatever needs to be charged ... it drains the battery out and thats probley what happened to u. i have one 2 and you do not want to drop sansae250 ... i woner how you get videos and pictures on it .
try resetting (holding power button for twenty seconds)
or letting the battery run out and charging it

did you get a warranty, or did you buy it recently, you may be able to take it back to the storee you got it from orr send it back to the manufacturer?
i know i have to charge my sansa for at least 7-8 hours before the battery will show it is full. about your other problem, i believe there is an option under the settings menu to automatically shut your sansa off. If not then you can turn off the backlight and that will save alot of battery life.
