I can not record as I get an error message that tells me my hard drive is full. I do not have anything on the camera. Do I need to reset something? How do I clear this or delete what may be on the hard drive?

The system does give this message when the logic board can't access the Hard Disk.
Can be anything, from a complete over filled HD till a defect controller or just a corrupted first sector. Check what the user manual says about initialise the hard disk. If that won't help, consult a tech close to you. Btw. after an initialise or format you will have lost everything you recorded till now. So if something important is on the disk, ask a tech to get out the drive and recover the important stuff. This could cost you.
On page 39 of the instruction manual it tells you how to format both the hard drive or the SD card. If you do not have a copy of the manual here is the link:
click the "instruction manual which is the fourth choice...
also be sure any medium (HD, SD) is UNLOCKED when doing this. If you do not weant to completely format see page 40.
And for your comfort, a Mac does not convert anything on the camera. But for the future, don't drag and drop into the trash bin, use delete on the camera. This is the same problem I've seen w/others but calling Apple-who blames it on the PC format-who blames it on the Mac-and both blame it on JVC, gets you nowhere. This is very typical when multiple companies are involved.

The internal hard drive has an issue and needs repair/replacement. I would check my manual for this message to see what remedy there may be. Maybe they tell you to reformat it - who knows. Maybe you have to reset the electronics to factory default? Check it out.
Hi, this is a common problem, you need to get in touch with the place you have bought it from and tell them your hard drive is corrupt and will need formatting and re-installing the firmware, now depending on how long you have had it they may tell you you need to pay to have it fixed, if they tell you that then you would be better off getting a new one.
the chances are something has over heated and caused the data on the hard drive to be corrupt so even though it only showing 26% it means the rest of the hard drive has corrupt data and cant be recorder on so you only have 26% of your hard drive left that you can use.
over time this will happen to all dtv recorders its nothing you can do either contact the place that sold it to you or have a look in the book that came with it and contact their customer support and explain whats happening, they will then tell you how to access the service mode and this will allow you to format the hard drive and may solve the problem.
we dont have the service menu details here as its only sagem who hold them and they keep it to themselves as its what their engineers use to reset the system and solve any problems.
it may or may not work but you have got nothing to lose so either take it back to where you bought it from and ask them about an exchange or refund or look in the handbook and call sagem customer service team and ask them how to format the harddrive
also check in the settings that this is turned on: OAD Auto Updates enabled. make sure it is enabled.
also try doing the following to reset the box it may work but most of the time if the hd drive is corrupt it will need replacing before you can record again 1. Turn off the unit for 5 minutes to cause a full reset. 2. Turn on the PVR with everything attached except the aerial. 3. You will get an Er-09 on the display. On my PVR there was no output on the TV screen whatsoever (totally black screen). 4. Press 'OK' on the remote. 5. The box reboots in standby mode. after this it should say OAD complete this means the firmware has been updated if it dont do anything then the chances are you have all the latest updates and you hard drive is no good.
let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks
Hi there. The hard drive will be full so you will need to transfer all your videos to your PC then format the hard drive in the camera's menu, make sure the SD card is removed before you format it.
