WYSE 9450XE will not show anything at all other than flash the keyboard. I have tried other video cards, and I will not power on with them, any ideas? I noticed a lot of jumpers inside the unit, does anyone have a diagram to show what they go too, and what they do? I am starting to think mine is junk, I bought it to run my Projectors for my home theater systems.

SOURCE: reflashing wyse s30 unit

It probably has to do with the version of CE client that is installed on the Thin Client. I have run into this problem before. The same Wyse clients can have different versions of CE installed. If the versions are the same then contact WYSE tech support to find what the error code relate to. BPCS

SOURCE: Wyse terminal does not boot

it's not recieving a strong enough signal.try this ,unplug the power supply and if there is a reset pin on this ,push it in.Alot of reset pins are very very small, make sure you look real close.Wait for about 30seconds and re try with power.

Monitor does not light up at all.

Did she spill something on it? Have you tried to make sure it's not an issue with your bright and dark buttons or keys on the keyboard?

Shine a flashlight on the dark screen to see if you barely see the icons on the desktop. If so, then the LCD Inverter is bad.

Plug in an external monitor and see if the display shows up on it. It can be any kind of monitor even the old big fat crt monitors as long as it has a vga cable to connect to your computer's vga port. If so that proves your video card is ok. The video will show on most systems when you reboot without you having to do anything. Some systems will require you to hit the FN (Function key) + F1 thru F12. Hold down the FN key then hit the correct key for displaying on the monitor (F1 thru F12). The correct key will normally have CRT/LCD on it or it will have the icon of a display.

If you see no icons by shinning a flash light and the external monitor works, then your screen is bad. If you see no icons by shinning the flash light and nothing shows on the external monitor, then most likely your video card is bad.

Laptop Won't startup Vostro 1500

See if you can run the Pre-boot System Assessment (PSA) diagnostics. To run the PSA+ Diagnostics on this system, perform one of the following actions:

1) Hold down the <Fn> key while pressing the power button.

2) Turn on the system, press <F12> at the initial Dell™ logo screen, and select “Diagnostics” from the boot menu.

3) Disconnect the AC power and remove the battery. While holding down the power button, insert the AC connector into the back of the system. The system then starts and the message “Diagnostic boot selected” displays. The system then launches the PSA+ Diagnostics.

According to Dell specs, there is no error code listed that you described, (Flashing Caps LED). Also try reseating the memory modules, (you might want to try this first).

Flashed the BIOs to Version 2.02 now it only powers on

Yes could be the problem. Flashing bios is always!! a risky business. Best you can do is check all the connections, ie reseat all cards and memory. If that doesn't work looks like new motherboard time unless you can get a new CMOS chip to fit the board.

No display in monitor

This may be the problem with the WYSE driver. Ensure that correct driver is intalled and colour profile is compitable. Syncmaster is auto detected by window based OS.the message "Sync out of range" comes due to improper out put video signal.
