I need to find a place that sells white ceramic watch bands to replace the band on a watch I recently purchased. The watch is a Lancaster from Italy but the replacement band doesn't have to be authentic, I just don't like the leather one that is on it now.

I bought a Lancaster watch for my daughter for christmas that came with a white leather band. My daughter had stated on a christmas list that she wanted a white watch with a ceramic band but I thought I could buy a replacement band for this one with little problem. I was wrong and now need to get help finding somewhere that sells white ceramic watch bands. I have spent many hours on the internet looking and every website I've come across that says they have bands actually only have the whole watch. A previous expert sent me a link to Alibaba which is one of the first websites that pops up when you google replacement ceramic watch bands. This website was no help because they don't carry bands and it is a company that is based in another country. Can you help me? It doesn't even have to be an origiinal Lancaster band, it just has to fit the watch I have.

this was a great idea but I need a solid white band, not a two-tone one. I'm getting desperate and am starting to consider buying another entire watch just to get the band....argh! Let me know if you can come up with anything else. Thanks!

thank you for trying, even though you weren't able to help, at least you tried. Have a good holiday

Here is one. You are right. They are very hard to find a band. I found lots of watches. But the band by itself is very difficult to find. But here is a link to one that I found. It shows in the picture with a watch too. But it is for the band, tools to change it and instructions. Here is the link.

I can see your frustration. I will see what else I can find.

  • Anonymous Dec 14, 2010

I have called about 20 different companies looking for a band for you. But every one of them say that they don't sell just the band. I wish that I could be of more assistance. But I don't know what to suggest other than buy another watch and take the band off of it. Amazon.com is a good place to look at watches. They are price compared to hundreds of stores. Again I am sorry. Have a Happy Holiday!

Repair of ceramic band of Vicence white ceramic band, can it be repaired?

Question edited for clarity, 'Vincense' to 'Vicense'.

Amazon do replacement white ceramic bands.

https://www.google.com/search?q=Vicence+white+ceramic+band

They appear to be a watch without a maker and are sold on QVC, eBay and Etsy so not of Italian manufacture as the name suggests. Very fine Chinese watch.

https://www.google.com/search?q=Vicence+watch

You could just paint the chip with a matching colour of nail polish.

Can you please tell me how to remove links on my le cheatau ceramic watch?

Hi, sizing the bracelet on your ceramic watch may void its warranty, making it ineligible to receive service from the manufacturer. If you want to keep your watch covered under warranty, contact your watch manufacturer for information on their customer repair service.
If you want to remove it yourself, you need a watch pin removal tool. You can use a watch pin removal tool to remove the link pins that secure the clasp pieces to your ceramic watch band.

But if you don't have a watch pin removal, follow the instruction below........
  • Find a clean, flat, well-lit work surface where you can size the bracelet of your ceramic watch. For best results, spread a soft optical cloth over your work surface and perform your repair on top of the cloth. The cloth will help prevent you from losing any small watch components, like link pins, that may be freed during repair.
  • Wrap the ceramic watch band around your wrist and count how many links overlap. Use this as a guideline for how many links should be removed. Note that the actual number of links to be removed may differ slightly from the original estimate. Remove excess links from your watch band one at a time to make sure that you don't end up accidentally making the band too short.
  • Remove the excess watch links from the ends of the band with the attached clasp pieces. Look between the removable ceramic watch links to locate the silicone connector pieces that join the links. Use a pair of small, pointed scissors to make a cut between the link and the silicone connector, this will free the excess links. Cut on the side of the link that faces the watch clasp. Repeat the process on the other side of the ceramic watch band.
  • Remove the clasp pieces from the ends of the removed watch links. Examine the clasp pieces to look for the metal pins that hold them in place. Push out the metal pins with a push pin to free the clasp pieces. You can now reattach them to the ends of your ceramic watch band.
  • Examine the newly-shortened ends of your ceramic watch band. Without the clasp in place the silicone connector pieces will be exposed. Note the two small puncture holes that go straight through the silicone connector. Insert the teeth of one of the clasp pieces through the holes in the silicone connector from the bottom. Fold over the other side of the clasp piece, reinsert the metal link pin and push the clasp to click it into place. Attach the second clasp piece to the other side of the watch band using the same procedure.

Cant get the white band clean

I love watches. My collection: Breitling Colt, Bulova Accutron, and a few others.
Yours is no slouch either. I believe it's around $2500. and the band is special, very special. It is made from ceramic and can not be replaced with any other band except for the one it came with. That being the case, if you are going to pay that much for your watch you should expect some quality service from the maker in regards to things like this. So before you do anything else give them a call and ask them if they have any recommendations about cleaning it.

If you get a response some thing like "No problem just send us a blank check and the watch and we will fix it right up, Honest" tell them to get ben........never mind. Just hang up. Their # 1-888-455-9200
If you are going to try and clean it you need to understand just how hard ceramic is. I have ceramic tool cutters almost as hard as diamond cutters so it will take some patients.
The first thing I would try is to let the band soak in bleach. You might be surprised at how well that works. Let it soak awhile. The longer the better

The best thing is to find a polish made specifically for ceramic.
I would try a auto paint supply store. They should have good quality polish for ceramic clear coats. It may also be a good idea to get a piece of white ceramic cutting plate/board and test a spot. I would also use a small Dremel polishing wheel. Dremel also makes a soft polishing stone that you mith want to try depending on how bad the stains are.

Remember a ceramic cutter board is a cheap way to test before you try anything on the band.
I really hope something here helps.
Let me know if you need any other help and please let me know of any success or failure and I'll try and give additional assistance.

Casio G-Shock GW-300 replacement bands

I have a Casio g-shock gw-330a and now find myself again replacing the band. So far, $60 on bands. They last me two or three years. To install the band, take the band and watch to a Jeweler. My local Sears does it for me. $5 for installation; $5 for purchase shipping; $20 for band. $30 every couple of years.
This cost disturbs me.
