You will only be able to use the HDMI if you tv has an output for it(for other things beside built in DVD player of home theatre). It can not be an input. If you want everything that plays through your tv to then play through your home theatre the easiest way is to use white and red composite audio cables(some call them rca cables) More than likely you tv will have this output. They will go from the output of the tv to the input of home theater. If your home theater has a Blu-ray or DVD player you need to use the HDMI from home theatre out to in on the tv. If you tv happens to have and OUTPUT for fiber optic audio or digital coaxle audio on your tv and your home theatre has same but as inputs that will work as well with a better quality sound. However this is very rare.

I have a lg plasma tv tryin to get the panasonic scpt480 connected i have sound threw dvd player but not tv wat cables should i use

There are a couple of different ways you could go with this. Your Panasonic SCP-T480 has an HDMI and a digital optical port HDMI carries audio and video signal so, it would be your easiest/best bet. Digital Optical provdes sound only but, provides as good sound quality as HDMI but, no video To use the digital optical for sound you would also have a composite(RCA) cable to gain your video.

How do I get my Panasonic sa-pt670 to play all the speaker. watching tv and with ps3

Does you Tv set have optical out? If so might I suggest running HDMI into your television set from the PS3, then run an optical audio line out from the tv into the optical line in on your HTIB

Panasonic home theater

switch the HDMI cable to another HDMI port (if available).
or use and AVI/COMPONENT to make sure the device (HOME THEATHER) is working fine.
Try also another HDMI cable or hook another device into it to see how it works.
If you determine the HDMI port in not working properly, then your Mainboard is damaged and need to be replaced, try EBAY for a general picture of prices but you will need your product code wich is located in the back of the TV next to serial number.

Panasonic 1080p Plasma TH-42PZ80U Home Theater Setup Question

Hey Gamer1827,

While I personally can't provide you with any model-specific home theater system recommendations, there are a couple of common ways that you can generally configure your home theater.

Connecting several devices directly to the HTIB system may typically allow you to minimize the number of remote controls necessary, as long as the HTIB system supports the use of a universal remote. Should you not necessarily care if you have to change back-and-forth between two remotes however, you may have a wider variety of possible configurations available.

In order to use only HDMI cable connections to set up your home theater, you most likely would need an HTIB system with three HDMI ports: one for your TV, one for your PS3 and one for your cable box. Each device would require a separate HDMI cable running between it and the receiver. This option (in theory) would allow you to use one universal remote to control each device, assuming that they are all compatible with the same remote.

Another common configuration you might wish to try requires you to connect your cable box and PS3 directly to your TV. By doing so however, you might limit yourself to using an optical digital audio cable to make the connection between your TV and many HTIB systems. In this configuration, the cable box and PS3 would again have their own separate HDMI cables, while the optical digital audio cable would need to be run from the Digital Audio-Out port on the back of your TV to the Digital Audio-In port on the receiver. This option essentially treats the HTIB system as an expansion device, instead of the center of your home theater configuration.

Should you need any additional information or suggestions, remember that you may always speak with a sales representative at your local Best Buy™ store for further assistance.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron

Panasonic HDMI surround system problem

The HDMI cable connection on your system is a video out to your TV.
To get audio from the TV so you can hear it through the system, you need to add a cable from the audio out of your TV to the "aux" input on the panasonic system.
This is most likely a red and white connection which will give you stereo, or pro-logic surround from the home theater system.
