if the sterio is not originnally from the vehicle and is factory fitted sometimes instead of a code it can make the dreaded beep. The originalvehicle is syncronised with the head unit and the only way to get it to work in another vehicle is to have it syncronised with the new vehicle. Some garages can do this but charge around £20. Its an anti theft system. Hopr this helps :)
