Given a square matrix, you can find its determinant by using the determinant function available through SHIFT 4 7. SHIFT 4 brings up the matrix menu, and 7 selects the determinant function.

Refer to the "Matrix Calculations" section in the manual, beginning on page E-57, and items #096-105 in the appendix. If you've misplaced your manual and/or appendix, you can download them from

I have a Element,TV ELEFT502. Have sound but no picture. How do I check for the problem and fix it.

I would follow the sound leads in from the panel. This may determine which board is simply the amplifier. Follow the video leads in; to determine the video card. If you can determine that then you might be able to determine if it is the video area or the display control. Do you have a video out port on this unit. If so cable that to another monitor and if you have a display, it would help to pinpoint the failure area. Without looking into the manual this is the best I can give you.

I need to replace the transformer inside my 12 volt charger. I can not find who makes the ES -66-287rev5 transformer. Need help.

If you have the skill to determine the transformer input is open, I would expect you have the skill to replace a transformer. Based on this assumption: determine the input voltage (120 vac?), determine the output voltage (14 vac?), determine the power requirements (output voltage times the charging current), find a transformer at www.digikey.com or www.mouser.com or www.newark.com.

Civic ex does the spindle determine the size of the rotor and brake caliper?

No --- that is determined by the engineers in the designing of the car.. If you want better brakes talk to a brake shop about multiple piston calipers and different disc rotor materials but the size is pre determined .

L want to know an example of a4 by 4 matrix determinant

One example: the determinant of a 4x4 identity matrix is 1.

Use the matrix editor to create a 4x4 matrix with 1s along the main diagonal (upper-left to lower-right) and 0s elsewhere. Then use the det() function to calculate the determinant of this matrix.

How old is my amana whirlpool washer model number lwa50aw

The date of manufacture is actually determined by the SERIAL NUMBER on your appliance. If this is a Whirlpool, the following link explains how to determine how old the appliance is:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3576437-determining_the_age_of_your_whirlpool_ap

The 1st 2 NUMBERS in the serial number determine the week it was manufactured. Just count the weeks of the year on a calendar and this will tell you the MONTH.

The 2nd digit in the serial number determines the YEAR it was manufactured.

If you have any questions about how to determine this on your appliance, post back with your serial number and I can explain it for you. I hope this helps you.

The YEAR will be determined by the 1st digit that preceeds the number sequence.

Whirlpool washer has stoped and service light is on

Something has happened within the unit that the computer has determined requires immediate attention. Best bet is to have it serviced. There's usually not much you can do without a method of determining the error code. The unit might have to be reset by the repair shop, and they'll determine the problem there.
