My zanussi Aquacycle 1100 wont start. A clicking noise starts after I try and start a wash. I heard it could be a door interlock that requires replacing. Is this easy to replace?

Door interlock is easy to replace.
undo the plastic clamp that holds door gasket to cabinet. peel back in area of door lock. door lock is held by 2 screws on outside. undo these ans lock comes off. there may also be a small diameter hose as well to door lock which take off as well.
reassembly is just the reverse

E40 on my washing machine

E40 is an error from the door locking mech (interlock).this is the bit behind the port hole door frame ,where the door striker pin goes through hole.hope this helps you.held on with 2 screws and you need to remove plastic clamp from door gasket to gain access.
E40.door not locking.door interlock faulty or triac faulty on pcb

Zanussi nexus washing machine

almost certainly the door interlock faulty. fairly cheap part and easy to replace.
remove plastic clamp holding door boot to cabinet and peel back in the area of the door interlock. door lock is held in by 2 screws from outside which undo and withdraw lock. disconect electrical plug and small diameter tube at bottom. fitting new one is just the reverse

check the drain hole when you start the machine if the water is coming back out , if yes that means your dump valve is bad.

If its not the door interlock then the only other possible thing is the control module has failed ....

it does happen on zanussi machine.. is it making a cliicking noise the door interlock.... when you press start .... like click click....

if so then most likely its the control board inside the machine
