Dishwasher Problem My Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher has a light which state "lock" on and I can't cut it off or start the washer..Does anyone know what is locked and how it got locked and how to unlock it and start the washer?

Look under the machine for a bag, with the
diagnostic manual, they don't want you to
know about,so you can wait two weeks for someone
you pay, to arrive,by then you will have it repaired yourself
Look carefully at your dishwasher keyboard, to see what key is nearest (above or below) the lighted lock symbol. Usually it's the Heated Dry button. Whatever it is, press and hold that key for 5 seconds. That should unlock you dishwasher and you can now use it normally.
I too had problems with the Kenmore Elite (aka Bosch). The issue was solved by replacing the Lock Sensor on the door. After replacing the sensor the dishwasher has been working. Hope this helps.
Wish I could solve this, as I'm having the same problem too. Normal light blinks not matter which wash button is pressed. Cancel light will light, but still NOTHING happens. Same model as yours.
there is no real way of checking the keypad. Not with a meter but if you push normal wash for example and it does not respond this usually means that you have a bad keypad
call sears, 1-800-4MY-HOME. They have a trouble-shooting department that will get rid of this problem. It is caused by water temperature being wrong at the start of the cycle.... blah, blah, blah. The representative will tell you to push a certain set of buttons in a certain order and that unlocks the dishwasher.
