37LG30 TV. The swivel stand is very wobbly. How do I fix?

  • Anonymous Feb 10, 2013

Solution worked perfectly! The screws you need to tighten are vertically placed in to the base of the swivel stand, running down below the large flat bit that goes into the TV.

Remove the actual stand (4 bolts are hidden in a sunken down spot for them on the back of the tv.

Once the stand is out of the tv, look down to where the swivel joint is at, you should see 4 screws that are going towards the bottom of the stand, those will be the loose screws.

I just fixed mine.

The front wheel on the mamas and papas sport 03 is wobbling. how do i fix it?

On the footrest is a plastic oval motif.
Flip the push chair over and pop the two lugs out and remove.
You will see a nut.
Use a 17mm ring spanner to tighten this up so the wheel doesn't swivel easily by hand (the weight of the push chair will still swivel it properly).
Bingo! No more wobbles.
Press the grey clip back over the nut.
I know this works because I did mine this afternoon!!

Purchased used 37LG30 TV and the previous owner had thrown away the stand. Where can I find one?

Hi there,
They sell LG screen parts at:

http://www.alllgparts.com/

Just type in the model number on the left hand side, under appliance search and it should list the parts they have in stock.

Hope that helps.

Tv tilts back when connected to stand is this normal

NO... check and see if all 4 bolts on bottom of stand are tight. IF it is tilted and tight, remove the stand from the internal slide, re install. Sometimes it gets lodged behind the proper mounting point.

The front wheel wobbles when it's on swivel, what

The wobbling front wheel problem is easily solved. Simply remove the two philips screws from the plastic cap covering the from wheel assembly on the foot plate. (Where the break cable goes into the swivel tube) Now tighten up the large black nut with a spanner, replace the black cap and your done!

I am trying to mount my LG 37" on the wall and cannot figure out how to remove the stand that came with the tv

37LG30 - loosened the 4 screws on the back of the TV but base mount wouldn't come off. Found that had to remove the screws even though already loose so that doesn't bind in the holes. Did this by making the loose screws bind in the wholes. Using twisers in the whole would have done the same thing. o

How do I remove the swivel base?

Steps to remove swivel stand:
  1. Carefully place the product screen side down on a cushioned surface that will protect the product and screen from damage.
  2. Remove the 2 screws that are vertically in line next to the power socket.
  3. Remove the 2 screws that are vertically in line under the RGB socket.
  4. Pull the stand out from the bottom of the TV.
  5. Reinstall the stand in reverse order.

TV wobbles on its pedestal stand.

Sounds like stand has been installed wrong an maybe miss aligned, and screws may be loose! Try removing and start over, or call installer back.

Remove swivel stand

There's likely a plastic cover on the back of the swivel stand. If so, remove it and you will find four to eight phillips screws. Take them out and the stand should come free. If there is no plastic cover, then there should be some screws in the back cover that go through the back cover and into the support. Remove the screws and gently remove the stand. Good luck. David
