Aux input on Soundstorm amp

Does the Soundstorm 2F200 Force 2 & the Soundstorm 2F400 Force 2 amps have an aux imput so that I can plug my Ipod directly into the amp. Im wanting to avoid having to have a car stereo since its going in my Yamaha Rhino (utility vehicle). I have the speakers already installed so I can just hook them up the the amp.

If the amplifiers have RCA jacks, you can use an adapter cable to go from the headphone jack to the RCA inputs on the amp. If you're in the U.S., Radio Shack will likely have what you need.

Does the Kenwood KDC MP5032 have an aux input? If so, where is it?

Hi there,

Kenwood utilize the CD Changer plug in the back (which acts as a secondary Aux input), to operate external iPod devices.

This is done with the aid of an Adapter Lead - it has the 13-pin DIN plug on one end (plugs into the rear of your unit), and an iPod plug on the other end (plugs into your iPod).

Depending on the "Generation" of your external iPod device, you will need to buy the appropriate Kenwood adapter cable. These are: KCA-IP102, KCA-IP202 or KCA-IP302.

There may be some aftermarket (3rd party) cables that may do the same job.

Just ensure you read your Kenwood manual, as the Kenwood unit may be limited to the types of files (i.e. formats) it can read & play.

Hope this explains....

Cheers,

Hook up an iPod to Beosound2000 system??

There is an Aux input on the B & O. you can connect the I-pod to through this input. You will need a 3.5mm phono to 2 RCA cable connector. The phono jack goes to the I-pods headphone socket and the RCA ( Red & White ) jacks goes to the B & O Aux input.bobhifi_28.jpg

I have the pionner deh p7300 i want to hook up a ipod i have a sub woofer and amp. on the back of the headunit i have rca plugs for the amp in the rca plug on back of unit. the there are 2 other sets of...

Buy a rca to aux 3mm plug then you can connect to aux port.
RCA out is for the signal to the amp from the Head Unit. Mic is probably for your cell phone.
Am pretty surprise that an HU like that doesn't have USB Ipod support?

When i plug in a external drum machine or ipod to aux in, i cant hear it out the speaker and only through headphones

This is how it is designed to operate - the aux input is for practice use only and is only routed to the headphones socket and not the speaker. Your only options are to use a different amp for your IPOD or drum machine or to use a mini-mixer to input the combined signals of guitar and IPOD through the single input socket on the BG500

Can I plug an Ipod directly in to this amp?

You can plug the I-Pod into the amp by using one of these cables. It fits into the headphone socket of the I-Pod and the two RCA's go into an aux imput (perhaps the front one?).

Can I plug an Ipod directly in to this amp?

You can plug an i-pod into any amp! All you need is a 3.5mm plug to two RCA plugs. The 3.5 plug goes into the headphone socket of the i-pod and the RCA's into an aux imput on the amp.

I cant get my record deck to work on my technics sh-dv290 from the aux why

Is the aux imput for tape or cd only? Or is it a dedicated phono imput?
If it is for tape or CD only it won't work has the cartridge from the deck needs a magnetic pre-amp.
If the amp doesn't have a phono imput you can get a pre-amp for cartridges from your local electrical shop. This will plug into your deck and then into the socket of the amp.
If the aux on your amp is a phono socket, assuming the record deck is working, then the pre-amp (inside your amp) for the cartridge has failed. It generally is located near the imput socket, chances are it will be single IC. It's a fair bet the IC will have failed, they tend to be static sensitive types prone to fail at the drop of a hat!

I believe you need the Alpine KCA-410C - Ai-Net multi-changer/versatile link adapter before you can input from an external source directly.
