Humidity Issues Hi! This past week I went on a cruise to Cozumel and Progresso, Mexico. At both locations, once at the pier and once on the ship, the outer and inner lense would fog over and stay like that for 5-15 minutes. The only way I could clear it would be to place the camera in front of a fan (which would "dry" it faster) or fan it with a piece of paper (which took forever - don't really know if this even helped). I have never had this problem before and have owned 3 different Canon cameras. I wouldn't have written and asked for tech support except when we were in Cozumel and I was fanning it another gentleman came up to me with the exact same camera and the same problem. I was wondering if there is a problem with the sealing of the lenses, if there has been a recall, or if this is just a problem that I'll have to live with. Last year I took the Canon A60 to Cozumel, Grand Caymans, and Ocho Rios and had no problems like this. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks! Jennifer

Canon has recalls from time to time for things like this. The best way to find out is to get a hold of their tech support at:

Have a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee used cruise control last week made a grinding noise I turned it off truck went slow for a few now it will not accelerate past 50mph what could be wrong?

Nothing in the cruise control system to make a grinding noise. It is electronic or maybe with yours vacuum controlled. Or a little of both. This could just be coincidental. If it did die, it wouldn't keep you from going faster than fifty. Have the engine and transmission codes read.

Is it safe to take children for night cruising?

I think, most cruises allow children. There are no security issues reported so far. The safety settings will be different in different cruises. I had gone with my family including my 8YO and 12 YO.The deck railings on the cruise were built pretty high so that it is difficult for children to climb on. I would suggest you educate the children about the safety concerns and ask them to talk to uniformed crew member whenever they need help.

I cant get gold on star86.com

Hi Michael,

Ship of the Week on Star86 has themes each week, if you do your best to decorate your ship really well to the theme and nominate yourself, you have a good chance!

You can also wait for the "freestyle" theme for Ship of the Week and decorate your ship however you would like. The main aim is to be creative and have fun! You can look at past SOTW winners for inspiration. You can also check our the Tips for Ships post on the Dubble Scoop.

Don't give up and good luck,
