It useually clip in with a plastic clip, if that is broken use a cable tie for emergancy only and replace as soon as possable,if the clip did not break, boil water put in a cup, warm up the clip (still attached to the arm) and clip it back on and let it cool down naturally

Passenger Side Windshield Wiper Broken

Hi Jill,
The first thing to check is a 13mm nut that holds the wiper arm in place.See if you can move the wiper arm freely back and forth. There is a nut at the base of that wiper arm,Lift up a cover that is hiding the nut. If it comes loose from being froze from ice or snow. Put the wiper in its rest position and tighten the nut back up.
tip

One windshield wiper is working, but the other isn't

When one windshield wiper isn't working like it should it may be a loose nut. The nut is located at the base of the wiper arm. There may a plastic tab covering the top of the wiper joint. You should see the nut when the tab's removed.
Check the nut for tightness. If it's loose the wiper pattern will probably need readjusting. Reset the arm by loosening the nut to where you'll be able to move the arm. Set the arm where you believe the it should be. Tighten the nut and run the wipers. If the wipers are working well with each other, and you're satisfied with the windshield coverage finish tightening the nut. Replace the plastic tab.
If the nut comes loose repeatedly you may want to apply a small amount of threadlock to the threads before readjusting the wioer and tightening. Use only a small amount of threadlock.

As you will see one side works but the other doesn't. Any ideas please :)

I believe it has just come loose. Their will be a retaining nut on the wiper arm that has worked itself loose. Probaly from being stuck to the screen in ice. Get both wiper in the same position and tighten the connecting nut. The will be on a spline so you may need to to pop the loose wiper off then then reset it in the correct position before tightening

Windshield wipers stop working

At the base of the wiper arm there is a plastic cap,pop this off ,underneath there is a nut that holds the arm in place ,if it gets loose the post will turn inside the blade.Just turn the wipers off and tighten the nuts with the blade in the parked position.

The passenger side wiper blade won't work I have a 2006 Torrent when the wipers are on the nut doesn't even turn please help

The wiper arm "nut" is the key...try tightening the nut down...be sure the wiper arm is in the correct (same) location as the drivers side...you can do this by running the good side, and turn wipers off before turning the key off...this will assure proper alignment...Don't be afraid to torque the nut down...this is the most common problem...as winter and ice take a toll on frozen...wiper arms that are pulled loose from the ice or snow...Hope this helps.

Passenger side wiper does not work

If the driver side wiper is working then the linkage under the long thin grille at the lower of the windshield has disconnected. You can remove the screws from the wiper cover assy cover and usually snap the link rod back on fairly easy. This usually happens when folks do not take the time in winter to clear the windshield of ice before turning on the wipers. If the wiper blades are stuck to the windshield and you turn them on this linkage will pop off and you can also strip out the wiper arm where it bolts on to the pivot, you can should try and tighten this nut first and get lucky. See if the pivot is moving is so tighten the nut at the bottom of the wiper arm. If the pivot is not turning it is the link rod.

Driver side wiper wont work

One side does not work? Can you move the arm with your hands? If so, look for a loose nut that holds the wiper arm on. Remove the plastic trim on the wiper arm base, and tighten the 12 millimeter bolt. Please advise if this helps.
