Connect head set to sharp lc-26d43u tv

As there is no regular headset jack on this tv, I was told I could connect the white and red jack to the wireless audio output and then connect my headset to this. I have tried this but it does not seem to work. Any ideas please.

The audio out from those jacks requir amplification and will not drive a head set. Get an inexpensive stereo receiver and run the audio out of your TV to the receiver and use the receiver for your headset.

RCA jacks on back of flat panel sharp TV set, which are audio ouy

Most TVs have a red and white set of RCA connectors that are marked "OUTPUT" The back panel will also have the same type connectors for audio input.(can be very confusing) They are usually marked input.

In the case where there are no RCA connectors that are marked output then the only choice is to connect into the headset 2.5 mm plug. They make a plug to rca connector cable for this purpose.

Attached is a photo of a different TV only to help to give you an example of how they are usually set up.

Jacks on back of tv set which are audio out

On a typical Aquos the audio out is available in three methods. On the attached image the section identified "OUTPUT"t has starting on the left is a headset connection. The next is an optical connection, This optical is by far the best choice due to having a digital connection to your amplifier. The connection to the right of the label output are two RCA connections one red and the other white. These two connections (left and right channel) provide a superior connection over the headsets located on the far left but not as good as the optical.

Other RCA connections on the back of the TV marked Red and White are for audio input to the TV. There maybe some setup in the TV menu required to direct the audio output to the back panel connections.

I myself have a 46" RCA LCD flat screen tv, which I have my xbox 360 connected via HDMI cable. If your tv has audio out "rca plugs", which im sure being a newer 3d HD tv, connect the supplied cable to the audio out (red, white) plugs, and then connect your headphones to that jack!

I would like to know how can I connect my sharp t.v. To my DVD for surround sound!

You kan try this. IF your dvd and tv have digital input. This is a sqared small cable. If your applience do not have this feautures. Do it easy with the scart cable in AV 1 on tv, that holds red and white cable, with a regular jack output on the other side to the dvd. Or if your dvd has input for the red and white, you can use that in both ends.

Sharp LC-26D43U TV. After power is turned on the power light comes on for a couple of seconds and then there is a click and the power light blinks 4 times then pauses and repeats the 4 blink sequence......

Power board is detecting an 'over-or-under-voltage' condition from other circuits. Could also be high dc volt shut-down. In either case, the tv is in protection mode to stop further damage this is why it flash an error code 4 times. Each number flash intervals tells the tv-technician what area the fault may potentially be. take it back if its under warranty, or have a repair shop near you fix it.

Sharp LC-26D43U Power light flashes and unit won't turn on?

It's a power supply related problem. When it turns itself off, this it called protection mode. The TV automatically turns off to protect other parts form being damaged.
The most common problem is the Power Supply Unit or the Backlight Inverter Board.
You may have to take the TV to a repair shop to find out which one is bad. Paying a repair shop to replace the board for you maybe more than the TV is worth. If you let them diagnose it and you replace the bad circuit board yourself, it would be cheaper.

Here's a place I use to get parts for TVs:
http://www.shopjimmy.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?q=LC-26D43U&p=1
The problem is the repair shop may charge you double or three times of what the part costs at the web site link above. Then, plus labor. I just want to save you money. :)
