I have a model KSRG25F and found that the solenoid that controls the water to the icemaker was not working. I tested by switching the water dispenser connection to the ice maker coil.
And then had the wife push the water fill in front of the fridge. I had aready changed out the control board in front because I didnt have the flash codes or solid led when simulating door closed. the parts is about $55 and hope that does it. Good Luck

Water Dispenser not working

Your water line could be frozen in the door. You can disconnect the line under the unit before it goes into the door at the bottom hinge. Push the dispenser button and see if it comes out there. If it does leave the door open till it thaws
disconnect the line to the water dispenser at the water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in and try the dispenser. if you hear the valve work but water doesn't come out, the valve is bad. If you don't hear the valve, the dispenser switch is bad.

Freezer and icemaker freezes, jams.

I have run into this before and found it very helpful to re-level the refrigerator. By leaning the fridge back toward the wall about an inch helped keep the water and ice in the tray. Remember to remove items that block air flow in the freezer. Remove the ice bin and clean it then start over with the fridge leaning back a little. Hope this helps.

Kitchen Aid side by side model #kscs25inss00 The ice machine stopped working. I checked the solenoid valve for the ice machine and it works, as does the water dispeser in the door. The teeth in the ice...

First off is the water filter bad and or do you have one...if not and it is good...then you have pretty much diagnosed the problem correctly...as you said the old Ice maker gears turn and when they make a complete revolution they engage a trigger which signals the water solenoid to dispense water to the ice maker...another test is to fill the ice maker manually and see if it freezes (test the temp of the freezer...if it is not cold enough the ice maker will not work)...if ice is made (generally under 4 hours ) and it is not dumped...you need to replace the Ice maker...around $30 to $50depnding on brand and where you buy it...I shop Marcones Appliance parts the appliance repairman's friend...good quality cheap prices.

Good Luck I hope this helped...please rate me ...the Fang.

Kitchenaid superba 42 side by sside water dispenser

usually when i get a kitchen side by side i trouble shoot the wtr valve first by using a cheat cord that applying volatge directly to the vlave to see if it opens but usually the wire harnes under frezeer breaks the wires so my money is on the wires under the frezerr door cut the sleve off and chec the wires one by one the one to the water is broken

No Ice From Kitchen Aid

Mark, your water valve has screwed the pooch. Replace it. The part number is 2199838.

What's happening is this... the valve that fills your ice maker is by-passing a small amount of water. This water has to flow through that tube, right? When very small amounts (drop by drop) go through the IM fill tube, they flash freeze. Eventually they (the frozen drops of water) form a big block of ice inside the fill tube. This ice creates a blockage which creates back-pressure whenever the IM "calls" for water. The back pressure eventually blows the tube off of the connection behind the fridge.

You say that this happened over night... no way. If you look closely at the ice cubes that you IM has been making, you'll see that they are hollow. Hollow cubes means that your IM isn't getting enough water... (because the fill tube is blocked).

Kitchen Aid Ice maker Stopped working

I would suggest not buying a KitchenAid. I have the same problem with my ice maker. Have had nothing but problems with every KitchenAid product that I have ever owned. I will never purchase another KitchenAid product.

All of there appliances are second rate. That is "The KitchenAid Difference"
