If your TV has a headphone jack, plug some headphones into it and see if the volume works there. If so, make sure the speakers are correctly connected to the TV and that both the wires and speakers are good. (Try other speakers).
Check owner / operator manual for "panel lock" selection or
go through menu pages until you spot it........
This selection is made so guests or children cannot operate tv.
In case this suggestion fails, you might try hard reset = unplug
AC cord overnight,then try again...........T.
You are supposed to be able to switch the Comcast Remote to TV mode and switch Mute on that remote to change back to standard volume. If that doesn't work try volume up on the TV. Otherwise if neither of those work then check Remotes.com for a replacement TV Remote.
Unfortunately the first generation DLP's from Mitsubishi are prone to have Capacitor failure through out the chassis. Most likely that is what your set is experiencing. I would start by replaceing the suspect caps on the DM amd The Power boards. You can get the V26 Chassis DM/Power repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which also contains instructions.
No,probally a capacitor the help the power supply board to work or other boards to work is blown.Call some tv shops get a best quotes prices, get a tv tech out to it fix,if ur tv is out of warrenty.
Sounds like your TV is overheating. How dirty is the filter on the side? Is the fan on the back turning ok:? Does it look real dirty? Is so, a good cleaning is in order. Also, there is a fan under the lamp. Can you determine if it is working...the air flow may be obstructed (from the clogged filter) and it takes some additional time to cool.
Need to get more granular on this, Does the volume work HT remote, for like radio, cd, ipod audio? For you to use the tv audio through the HTB the tv's audio settings should be on the "fixed" output option. This gives a line level to the Amp independant of the tvs volume adhjustment. Otherwise you will need to adjust tvs volume 75% or so before the audio amp will reproduce a good volume. Turn down audio amp prior to making any adjustments. Let me know thx
