The batteries are dead on my N65, but when I pushed the button that pops the flash up, nothing happened. Wondering if that is because of the batteries or if the flash is stuck/broke?

Battery is needed to unlock the catch then the internal flash will pop up. These cameras are programed to automatically pop up in certain modes so there is a little electric switch used not battery no switch. Don't leave the dead battery in the camera or you'll end up with more problems then just replacing the batteries.

Will not power up

If you tried to reset it and nothing happened, the battery may be dead. This happened to my daughter's Garmin GPS twice. I replaced the battery and bingo! I never understand why the unity needs a battery even when connecting it to the car's power cord...

How can i turn the flash off of my nikon n65 camera?

In the PSAM modes the flash won't pop up on its own. In the AUTO and vari-program modes, you can set the flash mode by turning the command dial while pressing the flash sync mode button (marked with a lightning bolt symbol). Select Flash Cancel (lightning bolt in a circle with a slash through it).

One of the handsets is flashing "Warning Check Battery" It is a mi6896.  We have lost two of the handsets.  We don't know how to use the "Find Handset" feature on the base unit (the manual...

Find handset works by causing the handset, or handsets to beep when you push the button on the base unit, and until you find the handset and push the off button. If the handsets do not beep the batteries are probably dead.
We have a handset that flashes "Charging", and later, "Connecting", but it never connects. When the handset is removed from the charger the handset shows "Place in charger". By process of elimination I have determined that the handset has a problem. The problem is NOT with the battery OR charger. I hope this info helps you.

Sound to me like you just need to replace the battery pack. Radio shack is a great place for phone batteries. If not, try www.batteriesplus.com

You might not have your lens set to the minimum aperture setting (the largest number) if it is a non-G lens.

Can you remove the battery? If so pop it out and leave it out for a couple of minutes then pop it back in and see what happens.
