I just purchased a sandisk sansa fuse mp3player and for some reason my computer wont recognize the player. the player itself says that it is connected to my computer and the usb chord is plugged into the...

i would need you to try connecting it to some other ports and see how it respond because you see, some devices tend to behave like they are working properly but wouldn't work if they are not connected to a hi-speed hub(port) let's say 2.0 or something.hope this solved your problem?

Sansa e260 wont be detected by computer

I assume that you are running an older version of Windows from XP/2000. If you can get on the internet, go to Sansa's site and download the driver from there. Here is a link http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/SMC

MY sansa e260 MP3 player

Try to add the device manually.

Plug the player in while it’s set to "MTP" mode. (This selection is in the Settings area)

On your computer, open Device Manager, and select: Add Hardware.

Choose the "already connected the hardware" option.

From list, choose "Add a new hardware device".

Select: "Install the hardware that I manually select from a list."

Select: Portable Devices, then MTP device.

Hope it works for you.
