I can't open my email and yahoo messenger. the messenger says that i have a problem with my internet connection but my connection is doing fine. My email says that my ID and pass word is wrong,but i checked it many time and its okay. When im doing the password retreival option,it won't let me get past where you pet in a code. Everytime i press Next,it just reloads the page. what might be the problem?

Make sure your internet is strong, yahoo is hard to connect because a lot of people are using it. If your using pre-paid modem, make sure it has one-day unlimited internet.

Try also upgrading your Mozilla Firefox

Try also using Yahoo at night, between 7pm to 4am. People are asleep or busy at times like this, so you have the yahoo for yourself.

You need to optimize your browser and delete cookies.
Open Internet explorer go to tools then Internet option. Delete everything like histor, temp internet files, cookies. Go to advanced tab and click on restore defaults. Close Inter explorer and then close, logout and reopen yahoo messenger, Login again again to yahoo messenger and then click on Mail icon.

I suggest you to check whether your email address and password is correct or not, by logging in at the www.yahoomail.com website, If you are able to login then your account exists and the email address and password is correct.
If it shows wrong password, try forgot password.

If you are able to login to your account in website, only you cannot login in yahoo messenger, There might be some problem in yahoo messenger, I suggest you to download the recent version of yahoo messenger and try logging in, if problem persists check your internet connectivity, Sometimes we couldn't login if there is a problem in internet connection.
There may also be problem with windows firewall settings.

And also check whether the yahoo messenger is added as exception in the windows firewall or not, If not add the yahoo messenger to exception list.

1. First, ensure that your computer is connected to the Internet.
2. Confirm that your password is not hacked by loging into your yahoo email account with the same user ID that your using to login to the yahoo messenger, by going to http://mail.yahoo.com.
3. If you are able to log into your email account, your ID is safe.
4. Try to kill yahoo messenger on your system using "Task Manager"
5. To open Task Manager, right click on your computer's task bar at the bottom and click on "Task Manager".
6. Next, click on the "Process" tab in Task Manager, select "YahooMessenger.exe" and click on "End Process" button.
7. If you cannot find "YahooMessenger.exe", then select "Ymsgr_tray.exe" and click on "end process".
8. Now start your yahoo messenger again and try to login. You should be able to login succesfully.

9. If your Internet connection is fine and you have followed the above-mentioned process and still cannot login to yahoo messenger, your system's fire wall is probably obstructing yahoo messenger to access internet.
10. Change the necessary settings on your firewall to leverage access to yahoo messenger.

there is some problem in yahoo network connection . you can reinstall the yahoo.

try checking the speed with the internet connection. try uninstalling and reinstalling yahoo messenger. also try creating a new user account

Are you getting any messege during signing out? check your internet connection is working properly or not having any discontinution.... if it's possible try ping status with cmd > ping messenger.yahoo.com or ping 68.142.230.204 check what is the packet result...if there is no loss of packet you network connection is OK...consider as someone sending you dc bot through anti yahoo software...which use to sign out the yahoo ID remotely....To keep yourself safe ....Download & install the latest version of yahoo messenger....For further help please be with us...Thanks for joining Fixya...Good Luck

I cannot connect thru yahoo messenger yet I can connnect thru Mozilla Firefox, I also cannot connect to MSN Explorer- I could not get Expert Assistance here says I am not connected to internet thru Internet Explorer But my internet connection is fine thru Mozilla????????-
