Pictures wont download to computer - Nikon Coolpix 2100 Digital Camera

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.


The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.


Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Sometimes if you open "my computer" your camera will appear as "removable disc" and you can double-click on it. Or, you could just use a card reader and solve all your problems.

Check your firewall settings on the computer your having trouble with.

just search the program .sometimes you con find it. or your phone wont support the programs .

Use a card reader to download your pictures to a folder you create on your desktop.

Do you the usb cord to connect the camera to your pc. If so you should just be able to connect the usb cord and goto My computer and your camera should be listed in there and yuo can browse the pictures that way and save them to your computer

Videos generally run in AVI mode. When putting pictures into the computer, place them in the "My videos" folder instead of the "My pictures" folder. This should solve your problem.
