SOURCE: how to reseat the hard disk drive
If the HD has never been removed it is unlikely it needs reseated. You need to go into the BIOS (press F1 during start-up) and see if the HD is visable under the drives section. If it is not then it is dead and needs replaced. Data recovery may be necessary if you need anything from it.
However to reseat it, turn the laptop over and there are two screws that come out to slide the HD out from the side. Pull it out and then push it back in firmly and replace the screws.

SOURCE: my laptop wont start up..its saying
This message it telling you that the PC cannot "Find" your drive. This usually happens if the drive has failed or the "Boot Track" has been corrupted. Well,I suggest, to try all the "Options" first, press F1...If it boots all good... if still no good... then press F2 and make sure the Hard Drive shows in the setup. If it does NOT show there, it is probably best, to then run the diagnostics, but I am fairly sure at this juncture it will tell you your hard drive is kaput, and you will need to replace it. If it does show up, then we need to fix the boot track... insert your Windows DVD and do a repair, and running the Fixboot command from recovery console.

This seems the Hdd is Not getting Detected , First thing you can try is inserting the hdd back in the system and then get into Setup Utility by Pressing F2 and check whether the hdd is listed or not , If the HDD is not listed that means HDD has gone bad .you need to get a new HDD
SOURCE: I spilled a drink on laptop now it says internal
if you have spilt a drink on your laptop there could be a unknown amount of errors with the laptop. firstly you need to be very careful and take the laptop apart following your user-guide or service manual both can be obtained through the dell website, to make sure the spilled drink didnt go straight to your motherboard if it has then your motherboard is partly dead, before turning the laptop on make sure its dry turning it on while its wet is very dangerous, if you have a spare hard drive you can put this new one in and see if your computer recognises it by accessing the bios on start up if it sees it int here then its just the hard drive thats faulty if it does not then you will need to take it in a computer repair shop and have the motherboard replaced which is chargeable if it in warranty then that would be the best solution, if you would like to do it yourself and save yourself some money then by going to an online auction site typing in your make and model of your laptop and buying a new motherboard only after you have tried using a spare hard drive to make sure its not that, please let me know the outcome of this Kronoguy
