If its a 220 electric dryer, check both legs of power coming into it. power only to one side of the plug will cause this problem. check the power at the breaker if plug doesnt have 220. breakers do go bad.. if the dryer is older than it could be that the motor is running to slow and letting the heating elements get to warm and kicking out the bimetal relays. the relays will only do this for so many times and then they will stop working . if you have the dryer apart ,the relays are round and usually have just 2 wires going to them. held in with two screws. if you ohm this out it should have resistance ,if none than its no good. could also be heating elements themselves.. you can usually just check them for continuity...
