You must connect to a database to utilize Primavera. You can not bypass this portion. So, Either remove the Database and reconfigure, or in the "Configure" Screen you can Name a new DB and use it. I would suggest that if you do not require 2 DB's not to have two. "The Oracle Database 10g" application that is installed with P6 (In your 'All Programs') will give you some DB manipulation options. I suggest you begin by doing a Disk Cleanup, then a disk Defragmentation and a reboot. Try installing primavera again, but refer to the installation instructions and follow them precisely. All the best.

Primavera 6.0 is best implemented in multi-project enviroments such as EPC contractors or O&M groups within owner companies. P3 and Primavera 6.1 Construction are more focused toward individual projects.
