Can i buy a power adapter for my lexmark x1240 at walmart?

Hello gardenlady49,

Welcome, and thank you for using FixYa!

To answer your question: Sadly, no, you cannot buy the power supply for this printer at WalMart.
You can buy them on eBay! (online) at the link I provided below.

Power Supply
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LMK-adapter-Lexmark-PSC-X1270-X1240-all-in-one-printer-/370522088080?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5644d66290

However, you can see by the price, that is is almost as cheap to buy a whole new printer. Either way, the choice is yours.

Have a great day!

Adapter not electricity is not passing through adapter. Electricity flows through plug until the adapter is attached and then not connection to the printer....1240.... Part # 21T0615

Make sure you are plugging the power cord straight to the power outlet in the wall, bypass any surge device or power strip as it may cause power loss. If you have already tried this but still no difference, I suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support to request for the power adapter. They can send you one for free. Thanks.

My lexmark all in one series 1200 will not power up. i've plug and unplugged. any ideas

Great job on unplugging and replugging it. Have you tried unplugging the power adapter from the printer? The power adapter is the black box behind the printer where the power cord is attached. Leave the power cord attached to it and proper secured, other end should be plugged in straight to the power outlet in the wall, bypass any surge device or power strip. Wait at least 30 seconds before plugging back the power adapter. Make it's plugged in securely in the printer. If the printer won't power on automatically, press the power button. If that doesn't help, I strongly suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support to further investigate the problem. I hope I can assist you more on this matter.

Lexmark X1240 Won't Turn On!

It could be a bad power adapter or even internal power supply.
The only way to test is to use another power adapter from a similar printer and see if it will work.
Test if there is power from that specific wall socket.
It will have to go to an authorised lexmark support center or printer repair shop ,ask for a quote.
Printers are cheap these days and replacing the part usually cost more than buying a new one.
