Have no instruction on oiling my janome 8080 Help

Do you have a manual? Most Janomes have a sealed oil system meaning you don't ever oil anything besides the little wick under the bobbin case, just one drop now and then.

mine had the same problem... If you can take it apart...the part that should slide back and forth inside just needs to be oiled with machine oil.  Slide it back and forth a couple of times after oiling it and it should start to work,

some of the cords are interchangeable and the foot petal are also.

This is a sign of lack of oil and it needs servicing. If you can remove the cover on the bottom and follow the connections from you feeddogs to the handle you will see a bullet shaped part that is supposed to move in and out of a hole. It is most likely stuck and needs oil. Give it a good cleaning while you have the cover off. Or take it in for service.

my sister has the janome 8080... it's listed at the Janome web-site as the DC3050..if you go to the (specifications) of that machine it has a manual you can download for free... hope this helps
